Well I have put together a new information pamphlet for new arrivals, but since it's the medbay robots dealing with them instead of the military and our own representatives delivery might be a little spotty. Hopefully people will get them, but we'll see.

Since we've mostly got our battle plans sorted I want to talk about evacuations as well. There's getting to be a lot of us and in a crisis things get confusing so knowing in advance what to do will go a long way to making sure it goes right.

• Almost all the time when an evacuation alert goes out there's not going to be time to do much except get to the lifeboats on Deck 6. You should probably check where they are at some point so you know where you're going.
• A lot of us have pets and I know no one wants to leave them behind. If they're out with you that's not much of a problem but otherwise you should pick one person per suite to go and grab them if there's enough time. We have to be realistic that sometimes there won't be, and I'm not just saying that for everyone else - I always have at least my budgies that are confined to their cage and sometimes my Eevee stays behind too.
• Relatedly, Rogue suggested that it might be a good idea to pack a go bag for emergencies so that if there is a little more time you can grab it instead of trying to figure out in the moment what to bring. You shouldn't need to worry about food and things, so it's better to pack light so we don't take up too much space. A few clothes, medications, things you really don't want to leave behind.

Now the important bit, not leaving anyone behind. We need a way to know who's already boarded a lifeboat and who hasn't, which Tony should be able to do using the bracelets. (I'm assuming?) We also need a couple of people for each floor who can do a quick sweep to make sure everyone's left and to make sure the lifeboats are boarded efficiently. You will most likely be the last people to leave, so keep that in mind. For floors 1-4 and 7-10 that'll probably be banging on doors, for the others a quick check of all the public areas. Then when that's done, get to Deck 6 to help load.

I've only evacuated towns and cities before so please weigh in on any of this ^ if you think there's a better way of doing things. And if you want to be a floor monitor or floor captain or whatever, sign up here. 18+, minors should go directly to the lifeboats. Everyone else make sure you know who's responsible for the floors you spend most time on.

adding: Since each accommodation deck has their own lifeboat, based on Anakin's experience it's best to stick to what's been assigned. People responsible for clearing the matching floors will also have the final call on when to launch, even if someone's missing. So, make sure you have a decent idea of who should be there and make note of whether any of them are clearing public decks and can be expected to take a little longer. Tech, I'd still like a way to check people off as they board lifeboats if we can so we know if anyone hasn't turned up. The way people come and go it's going to be more reliable than memory.

Other things people have pointed out
• Make sure your floor coordinators know who's in charge of fetching pets so they can expect who'll be around
• There was talk about swimming lessons for anyone who doesn't know how which I would definitely recommend, having literally been marooned on a Caribbean island
• Gansey's going to check with the robots to see if there's a way to teach some people to row. We do have a couple people with water powers which would be the ideal but let's try not to rely on it.

Since we're talking about emergency plans, a message for the tech geeks. Dr Aphra and Ezekiel Jones are discussing a command centre to handle communications - both alerting everyone to emergencies and making sure no one gets cut off during an active situation. I'll also be there to keep track of the information we receive and assign tasks to mobile response units so we don't get some things being forgotten while too many people go somewhere else and I believe Charles will be with us as a telepath. If anyone has hardware or skills that would help, they're the two to talk to.

Personally speaking, I can work with a whiteboard or pencil and paper if I have to but coding an interactive map of the ship I can manipulate on a tablet would be more effective. I can do it myself but I know we have some coders around who might be able to do a better job.

Incidentally the Coffee Bar is actually ridiculously good. Let's not have aliens steal all our coffee this time.

They have ghost pepper hot sauce on this ship. I asked for a bottle, and they gave it to me. I can put it on everything without making it weird!

I am so glad that I signed up for schooling here. I can already tell I'm going to get incredibly bored without it. I'm not much of a drinker so "everywhere is also a bar" is a bit of a bummer for me. The library's a bit small, but it'll work, I think. Wish you could borrow books on a Kindle or something because I imagine I'm going to get bored with those books too. The downside of not needing to sleep.

Two more restaurants, day care and school, a small library, and a spa facility.

Deck 12:
The big pool, several small bars, grills, a buffet, a cigar place, a kitchen hosting cooking lessons, another library, a games room, and movie screens.

All kinds of fitness things.

1-4 and 7-10 are all accommodation, it looks like. Medical's right down the bottom.

Stating the obvious aside: we've made another jump. Some of you remember (and would like to forget) the Prettiest Star space cruise ship. This one is on water this time. From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. Most of what I've seen seems familiar to cruise ships on Earth, but who knows so make sure you're careful until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

Oh, hey there. Ignore the post I made last week. I was out of my head. Or at least more out of my head than normal. I'm doing better now.

Who broke the weather?

You may or may not have been aware that there was a bit of an incident concerning the Doctor some of you refer to as "Eyebrows." Some time ago, a neural block was used to alter his memory. Recently, the block began to fail, corrupting his memory in a general way to the point that drastic measures were necessary.

You will be pleased to know that Charles Xavier was able to remove the neural block entirely from the Doctor's mind. He has been placed in a healing coma in the Zero Room of his TARDIS, so we won't know how he's fared until after he awakens. But the Doctor wouldn't dare be anything other than alright if he knows what's good for him.

So. I hear there is a big old gathering tonight. And by hear, of course, I mean I saw all the hubbub of chatter about it. Suspect there'll be plenty of Harry Styles playing this evening? He was big in 2017, was he not? Or is this going to be more of a classical scene?

Oh. Suspect I should introduce myself as well. Right. Hullo. I'm the Doctor. Been here a couple days. Crazy weather you lot have been having. Raining cats and dogs now. Not ideal for a big party but nothing to be done about it, I suppose.

Hey, I'm going to need some help putting up a Christmas tree for 221b. That includes buying the tree and all the lights and ornaments.

Since we've done Thanksgiving and it's almost December it's about time to bring back Secret Santa, I think. We did it last year but for the new people who don't know, December 25 is Christmas which is usually celebrating by gift giving. The patron saint of the holiday is St Nicholas aka Santa Claus, who brings gifts for children. (Spoilers: those presents are actually bought by their parents.) A Secret Santa is a gift exchange where everyone who participates gets the name of one other person and anonymously buys that person a present. So everyone gets one, but they don't know who it's from unless that person chooses to tell them. It's fun and a lot of workplaces or families do it to cut down on everyone having to buy presents for everyone else and spending all their money.

If you want to play, leave a comment or email me [ooc:you can just send me a list of characters if you don't want to comment for everyone]. On December 3 (next Monday) I'll do the assignments and tell you who you're buying for. Get your present to me by 5.30pm December 19 (a Wednesday) and I'll deliver them all.

If anyone disappears before the 19th, I'll jump in to make sure no one misses out, and in case I disappear I'll leave the list with a couple other people so they can handle it. If we get taken to another universe... I've got no fix for that, so let's hope we don't.

I am terribly sorry for the trauma the bonfire caused. I had not anticipated that the little creatures would find themselves drawn to a fire when they were so scared of bright lights. I suppose the darkness surrounding it was enticing enough.

Perhaps some of my students could use it as the basis of a horror story for next year's Spooky Tales.

Yes, I'm aware there are multiples of people present, including two pairs of Sherlocks and Watsons, and yes, I've been doing my research. There's not much else to do whist in quarantine.

For any interested parties, I was previously in Preya before I was brought to Tumbleweed.

As I write, I ought to be released from quarantine in approximately 29 hours from now. Neither my flat from London nor Preya has appeared with me, but I've been told something has been arranged. I do hope it's adequate. All that remains is to secure some sort of gainful employment which isn't too mundane.

Bonfire Night didn't go exactly as planned, but it was fun while it lasted. Thank you to Clara and everyone else that helped getting things set up. Also a BIG thank you to everyone that helped with the gremlin issue and getting people to safety. In my life gatherings like this usually end in some kind chaos, but I'm sure I'm not alone in saying it'd be nice to have one night, yeah?

Anyone needing help cleaning up or anything, let me know! I'm sure others are looking to volunteer their time as well.

Keep the first weekend in December open. I promised this girl to take her to Disney World for her birthday. The date is today, but she had to cancel it out of fear that these Gremlins were wandering around the city.

I don't know how it got out of its box, but I can't find my mogwai. I found a couple clumps of hair in my shower, but no sign of a mogwai(s).
