So as you saw on CNN, there's a situation in Paraguay. It does resemble the attack on the Fort Neill base in the last 90's. The Bureau is looking into official channels to speak with anyone on the base or anyone with any knowledge of the base. This is a very precarious situation due to an international military being involved. Please do not attempt something on your own; you could jeopardize what we're trying to do.

The Bureau will keep you as updated as we can.

We don't know how many people might end up needing to go. We don't know if we're going to be attacked again, but I'd like to make sure we have people on our side. We're working on negotiations to get down to Paraguay to see if we can get inside that building, take a look at the fresh scene and what it looks like. I'm not going to lie, if it's anything like the aftermath we found here, it's going to be a bloody mess. If your stomach's a little on the light side, let me know. Do not compromise this by whining. I will not hesitate to fire you if that happens.

Anyone with computer experience, I'd like to get you all working on grabbing every image, video, and audio leak we can find. More than that, I want to look into other potential military bases getting hit with strange and sudden shut downs. I want all of them, even if they've been decommissioned in a property ceremony.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who helped during these last few weeks while the Resettlement Bureau was getting on its feet. The primary goal of the organization is simple: greet new arrivals and set them up with what they'll need to get on their feet here. That means paperwork, helping them acclimate to Tumbleweed and Earth, finding their housing. The secondary goal is to study the portal, to see if there is a way we can figure out its agenda, where it came from, how to stop certain creatures from coming through or at the least, being prepared when they do.

These are now paid positions. If you were volunteering before, just come see me if you want to transition to paid.

Weevils in the streets a few blocks from Fort Neill. Watch out for humanoids in dark blue boiler suits, bald, flattened wrinkled faces with very sharp teeth. They're stronger and faster than humans and can take a few bullets but they can also be taken down with tasers and a spray we formulated back home which I have a few cans of. They usually live in sewers and aren't actively aggressive unless disturbed, but they're not suited for bright light and will be disoriented and lashing out. If we can round them up or restrain them we can hold them until we find somewhere they won't bother anyone.

And if one cuts or bites you, you will need a course of antibiotics.

Is anyone else a little concerned that the people in town don't seem to have noticed all the changes, or the fact that we were gone for three months?

Are you guys settling back in okay?

We're back in Tumbleweed, but as some of you may have figured out, the town is completely different than it was the last time we were here. There's an airport now, which my car navigation system pointed out, and it's on the opposite side of town from Fort Neill.

Of course, that's not the most startling or disturbing difference. Fort Neill is a graveyard, and I mean that in the kindest sense of the world. It was locked up when I got there. Got my way in to find a dusty military facility that has not been used in quite some time, and it looks like it didn't happen on purpose.

The military is dead, and I don't mean they cleared out. I mean there is an entire facility full of the skeletal remains of whoever was in there when something happened. That something appears to have been some sort of [...] feeding, possible animal attack. There are definite teeth marks on these bones, and the state of decomposure... it's not new. At least a decade, maybe more so it's not as horrendous as it could be to see.

I have not turned the power on; I don't want to disturb the bodies more than I already have, but I'd like for anyone interested in helping to come down to the facility to move these bodies — telekinesis, magic, or just standard issue gloves — so that we don't taint the bodies with our DNA. We'll have to keep the power off until that happens, and then there should be video monitoring we can check to see what happened, check databases and logs to see if there's any evidence of what might have happened here.

I'm leaving this open so we can discuss what to do. After scrounging around the base, I haven't seen any paperwork or IDs for those of you who arrived on the cruise so that's something we should work on immediately to get people in the system so they can work, get IDs, and whatever else they need. We'll need people who can make IDs and people who can get into the necessary systems for government agencies to make sure the back-end is taken care of in anyone wants to cross state or country lines.

And a warning to some of you who worked at the military before: yes, we knew some of these people if the names on the uniforms check out.

I'm pleased these flowers are meant to last. They're a constant reminder of home and my life back there, even if I already have some physical reminders of Amestris. At least these I can keep in my room at nightunlike the Colonel. Back home I would have insisted they were useless, but these are certainly far from it.

The Mixology class isn't bad. There were a couple of drinks I didn't know and the technique was slightly different than I'm used to. I'll probably keep going to it to see how much new there is to pick up. More identifying ingredients and playing with flavour profiles would be good.

I checked where they have yoga too. That room might be big enough for self defense training. Not proper fights and not many at a time, but I think it could work.

Have any of you thought about where you would be best placed in an emergency? It looks as though there's already at least one person with shields stationed at the school with the children - two with Rogue there as well. Since there are only so many of us with that ability it makes sense to make sure we're in the places with the highest need. Possibly somewhere that's likely to have heavy fighting.

Heads up to any flying, swimming, or people with amazing eyesight or stuff. A few telepaths would come in handy too.
