You know what I discovered in this last week? I can't lie. Someone asks me a question, and suddenly I'm talking about everything on my mind. They just want a "I'm good. How 'bout you?" Instead, I have given total strangers a full rundown on how much I miss my wife because she's living in another world. Not even another state. Another world. Y'know. Just a completely sane thing to hear from a total stranger. Guess what, total stranger, I was Spider-Man back before I lost all my powers.

Hello! My name is Nadia Van Dyne. I'm new here, but I hear that's a common occurrence in this world. Jarvis has been kind enough to explain some of it to me, but it's all so overwhelming. This whole portals to an alternate world seems exciting and all but... I was hoping to get back to my friends. They were in danger when I left and even my communicators haven't worked.

I was told some of them, or some version of them, may be here? I don't know all of their real names, secret identities and everything. But if anyone has seen a boy my age named Sam, I'm worried about him.

Anyway! If I'm stuck here, maybe it'd help to make some new friends. Is everyone here from other places too?

FYI, Avengers fam, I'm not necessarily asking for a huge celebration and everything because I can probably see Sam being a little too distraught and going "why are you growing up, stahp that", but I wouldn't mind a small little celebration at home or anything like that. The very first two months of school are probablyyyyy not a good time to decide to take a vacation to Pakistan or something like that. Plus, um, kind of need cash for that.

HOWEVER! If anyone a. wants to teleport me to Poconos, PA, and b. wants to join me, there's a lantern lighting festival that I always wanted to see but I never got a chance to do because my dad used to think it was a waste of time and "only white people do that". >_>

OTHER PEOPLE LIVE HERE TOO I miss my teammates. The ones I made when I decided I wasn't going to part of the shit show that was Civil War. I miss Viv and wish she had stayed. I miss Nadia and Sam and Miles and Cyclops. But like, the younger Scott, the one who ended up totally time-displaced and decided to join us. I guess having Cho around helps, but we need fresher and newer faces up here.

Sometimes, I miss the chance to be a normal teen again and actually have sleepovers or something with friends too but then I remember how my not-American parents never understood that concept, so I wouldn't have gotten normal teenage sleepovers anyway even if I wasn't a superhero, BUT! A lot of us hung out like normal teens in between all the superheroing when we could. It was funtimes. I wish they could be back here.

I'm gonna tell you right now. Whoever toilet papered the Avengers place will be charged with vandalism when I catch you. Make no mistake: I will catch you.

I don't remember how 4th of July was held here last year (I think it was around the time when the portal decided to make me disappear and then reappear later), but I know my favorite past time with family was always going to a fireworks festival in Jersey City and watching the NYC display from the Jersey shoreline. Anyone wanna go? We should totally make plans to at least go see the festivals before the fireworks, for the pups.

HELLO! I'm Molly! I don't know how many of us under the age of 18 there are, but I just wanted to say hello and make friends I guess if I'm stuck here and all my other friends aren't here. It's lame.

Help me, I'm seventeen and I have no idea what I want to do in college. I mean, the obvious answer back home that some of my friends who have read my stories would give me is "Creative Writing, duh!" But, I can just hear my dad's voice when I start thinking of college, and his voice is usually telling me to go for something practical and "promising". Engineering? Yes, do that. Or accounting! Or computer science! Or medicine because we'll always have those to fall back on even if half the jobs in the world get taken over by robots!

And then I land in a new world back in NYC (I swear to god, I feel like I've been a portal refugee and stuck at 16 for the past 4 years), and thought "oh, hey, a chance to do anything I want without criticism!" And my mind just... blanks out. This may have been a lot easier if I was really back home in Jersey City with my family.

Just figured it'd be good to get together.

You ever like.. look back at stuff you made or write years ago and just go "EW, I did this?" even though you remember at that time, you were super proud of it though you were about 12 years old so you would have been proud at pretty much anything?

Yeah, that's me. I've been spending a few days catching up on all the fanfic I used to write on my old laptop that came through with me, and dear god, people actually gave me upvotes for these on sites?? I felt the need to purge everything and start all over again.

So, I headed to the library to find inspiration, maybe write something with a more dystopian universe with monarchy twist to it and I found a book series called The Selection by Kiera Mass. I couldn't put it down because it was like, one of those train wrecks you had to keep reading because you hoped things would get better, but it didn't because even though the dystopian universe had some screwed up sexist laws, the main character was way too caught up in some love triangle to really try to push for some change.

And as I kept reading it, I realized why my crappy past writing got upvotes: crappy writing will still get made into books. SIGH.

Anyway, rant over, looking for fanfic ideas, but don't be weird and give me stuff to write about people who are already here. Unless you want something written about yourself.

On this fine Friday the Thirteenth, some of you may find yourself wondering what to do with your free evening. Here at the Camp, we have a lot of space and a wide movie selection, so here's an open invitation to come and hang out for a low key welcome back get together. There'll be swimming, movie watching (theme to be decided by attendees), and a bonfire for singing and toasting marshmallows. We'll order some pizza, but if you want to bring some snacks, food, or drinks (non-alcoholic please) over, feel free.

I forgot people don't see very far. I used to know that. It felt strange that I could even though I didn't know why. I thought  diagnostic error. Mismatched expectations of performance. I was trying to figure out which one to keep but I think I'm okay with having just Shredder despite him not being a Pokemon (or is he??? ;)). I love the ports and the chance to go them and all but. I actually miss Planet Earth and the U.S. in general despite all its xenophobic glory. I didn't get a chance to look at the holiday calendar for this year which sucks because I'm already feeling pretty displaced in a place that has practically no Desi population. I don't even know when's Eid. Is it next month? Tomorrow? Did it already pass?! Did Ramadan pass??

Sorry to be the debbie downer but had to get that off. I'm just seriously missing home, particularly Jersey because I know my older brother, even if he says he's above getting excited for places like this, would have absolutely loved being here and probably tried to take all of his Pokemon back home with us.

Calling all engineers. Especially you Tony Stark.

So, we've been on this boat for awhile. Away from our workshops, away from some of our bigger projects, and we all know the dangers of idle hands.

With that in mind, I'm putting together a little competition. A good old race. Winner gets bragging rights and a special, super secret prize that my dear friend Rhodey is setting up.

Now I'm sure you're wondering where the engineering comes into this race. Well, you won't be running the race yourself. Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to build a contraption/vehicle/robot to go through the obstacle course that'll be set up in the Climbing Course area. Anyone who cants to participate can pick up your box of materials you'll have to use on Friday at 1:30pm. For the sake of level playing field and making this a real challenge, you can only use that box of materials in the creation of your 'racer'. You'll have the entire weekend to craft your masterpiece before we start the race process 4pm on Sunday. Good luck!

I'm filtering you cause I noticed you were all willing to help with evacuations and Kamala (hi?) I don't know you at all, and Pidge we've only talked a few times, and Amadeus I know you're a bit older, but thanks for pointing out the arbitrary line man, so you've got like an honor filter here.

Basically, I'm kinda just reaching out to say hello, and to ask what kind of things you do at home, cause I was thinking getting to know some of my peers better might be a helpful idea if, which feels likely to be honest, we do end up in some sort of crazy situation.

I miss I'm so restless.

Since we've mostly got our battle plans sorted I want to talk about evacuations as well. There's getting to be a lot of us and in a crisis things get confusing so knowing in advance what to do will go a long way to making sure it goes right.

• Almost all the time when an evacuation alert goes out there's not going to be time to do much except get to the lifeboats on Deck 6. You should probably check where they are at some point so you know where you're going.
• A lot of us have pets and I know no one wants to leave them behind. If they're out with you that's not much of a problem but otherwise you should pick one person per suite to go and grab them if there's enough time. We have to be realistic that sometimes there won't be, and I'm not just saying that for everyone else - I always have at least my budgies that are confined to their cage and sometimes my Eevee stays behind too.
• Relatedly, Rogue suggested that it might be a good idea to pack a go bag for emergencies so that if there is a little more time you can grab it instead of trying to figure out in the moment what to bring. You shouldn't need to worry about food and things, so it's better to pack light so we don't take up too much space. A few clothes, medications, things you really don't want to leave behind.

Now the important bit, not leaving anyone behind. We need a way to know who's already boarded a lifeboat and who hasn't, which Tony should be able to do using the bracelets. (I'm assuming?) We also need a couple of people for each floor who can do a quick sweep to make sure everyone's left and to make sure the lifeboats are boarded efficiently. You will most likely be the last people to leave, so keep that in mind. For floors 1-4 and 7-10 that'll probably be banging on doors, for the others a quick check of all the public areas. Then when that's done, get to Deck 6 to help load.

I've only evacuated towns and cities before so please weigh in on any of this ^ if you think there's a better way of doing things. And if you want to be a floor monitor or floor captain or whatever, sign up here. 18+, minors should go directly to the lifeboats. Everyone else make sure you know who's responsible for the floors you spend most time on.

adding: Since each accommodation deck has their own lifeboat, based on Anakin's experience it's best to stick to what's been assigned. People responsible for clearing the matching floors will also have the final call on when to launch, even if someone's missing. So, make sure you have a decent idea of who should be there and make note of whether any of them are clearing public decks and can be expected to take a little longer. Tech, I'd still like a way to check people off as they board lifeboats if we can so we know if anyone hasn't turned up. The way people come and go it's going to be more reliable than memory.

Other things people have pointed out
• Make sure your floor coordinators know who's in charge of fetching pets so they can expect who'll be around
• There was talk about swimming lessons for anyone who doesn't know how which I would definitely recommend, having literally been marooned on a Caribbean island
• Gansey's going to check with the robots to see if there's a way to teach some people to row. We do have a couple people with water powers which would be the ideal but let's try not to rely on it.
