I've been toying with the idea of making trackers for us. Well, I wouldn't really call them trackers. More like homing beacons that tells us everyone is still here. It wouldn't keep track of vital signs like the E.M.P.'s did. Problem is I hear people up and disappear sometimes so it would just fall to the ground if any of us every disappeared.

Shit, I don't even know what I'll do. If you want one, I can make one. I'm just tired of losing people and it'd be nice to know that everyone who is here is okay.

Hi, guys. If you don't know/remember me, I'm Rose Hathaway. We've all been assigned to deck 9 if all hell breaks loose here and I thought it would be smart for us all to talk and come up with a plan so it's not all chaos up here if something does happen.

I don't know you guys that well, so maybe let's start by talking about our strengths. It'll help us figure out how we can best work together.

For me, I'm a fighter. I was raised to be a kind of bodyguard and to protect people against a type of vampire we call strigoi. I trained hard to be fast and strong. I don't have formal training in a lot of weapons, but I pick them up quick and can usually fight with whatever's close by. I'm probably best as fighting things that are bigger and stronger than me and I'm definitely going to me more useful at close up fighting than anything at a distance. I also have more enhanced senses than most people, so I can see pretty well in the dark and hear things most humans wouldn't pick up.

So, that's me. What can the rest of you do?

I know we got the patrols set up and I've seem some talk here and there from people wanting to figure out what to do in case something does actually happen, ship being attacked and all that. But did we ever come up with an emergency plan? Cause I'm kinda thinking it might be a good idea to do that.

So this place is fun and all, but a few of us think patrols would be a good idea, just to stay on the cautious side. No one's seen anything worth panicking over, so this isn't a response to anything, but better safe than sorry. To keep people from doing the same thing and maybe bring everyone together, here's a sort of schedule of what people are wanting to do for night patrols.

Need a partner for night patrols. Dates and times are up in the air, but I'm thinking Monday to Thursday, from 1 AM to 4 AM. Let me know if you're interested or hit me up on Logan's post here. Volunteers for other times/nights are welcomed there too.

EDIT: So people were hella responsive. So I got a schedule sort of going and tried to filter to as many adults as possible capable of helping.

If you want to help, fill in where there are openings, yeah? More than two people to a slot is ideal. But remember, if you got school, try to grab an earlier shift or work weekends so you're not falling asleep in class. Cause I don't want to get yelled at by any teachers.

From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. Most of what I've seen seems familiar to cruise ships on Earth, but who knows so make sure you're careful until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

Some of you knew Howard when he was here. He tended to be the party thrower and was very generous when it came to making sure his guests were well taken care of.

So, to honor his spirit, every one can expect a $150 gift card to be delivered to them soon. Whether you use it for clothes, decorations, presents, or just something you really need, it's up to you. There's no wrong way to spend it. Just consider it a way to get these holidays started off on the right foot.

And hi, Tumbleweed, I guess it's been awhile. I see a bunch of new faces, so if you didn't know me before, hey, I'm Rose and it's nice to meet you.

Damon's taking me on a tour to show me what's changed and then we're going for drinks... somewhere. I don't know, he can tell you where, but if you want to join us, come on by.

Since we've done Thanksgiving and it's almost December it's about time to bring back Secret Santa, I think. We did it last year but for the new people who don't know, December 25 is Christmas which is usually celebrating by gift giving. The patron saint of the holiday is St Nicholas aka Santa Claus, who brings gifts for children. (Spoilers: those presents are actually bought by their parents.) A Secret Santa is a gift exchange where everyone who participates gets the name of one other person and anonymously buys that person a present. So everyone gets one, but they don't know who it's from unless that person chooses to tell them. It's fun and a lot of workplaces or families do it to cut down on everyone having to buy presents for everyone else and spending all their money.

If you want to play, leave a comment or email me [ooc:you can just send me a list of characters if you don't want to comment for everyone]. On December 3 (next Monday) I'll do the assignments and tell you who you're buying for. Get your present to me by 5.30pm December 19 (a Wednesday) and I'll deliver them all.

If anyone disappears before the 19th, I'll jump in to make sure no one misses out, and in case I disappear I'll leave the list with a couple other people so they can handle it. If we get taken to another universe... I've got no fix for that, so let's hope we don't.

It's definitely a lot better to be out of quarantine than in it. It's been a little while since I've been in quarantine, but definitely much better.
