I think nearly everyone has been checking in with those closest to them, especially now that we've hit a something of an inflection point here.

The reality is that we're all of different worlds, and to leave more than likely is the same as a farewell. I gave it thought already, and, really, the answer came quickly. I'm staying.

I can't say I thought of this long and hard because the decision had always been there. I plan on staying. From what I was told by Lance prior to his leaving, everything turns out for the better. The intergalactic war back in my world that we had been fighting for centuries is over.

But I am no longer alive after the war, and I'd like to continue to be alive in this world. I will miss the rest of my Paladins everyday until they come through and decide to stay here but for the time being, this world will have to deal with me in it for a few more years at least.

There's talk of moving kids outside of Tumbleweed, but we don't have complete data on whether or not she'd snatched anyone outside of here. Right now, I'm recommending patrols, particularly around school times. I want no one under eighteen walking to school alone. Parents, if you want a guard who has superpowers as a bodyguard, let me know. We'll assign someone.

If you're volunteering, note that I will be picking those with powers first. Maleficent has untold magical powers, and there is no telling what she's granted to the troll-like "people."

So, are you ready to get back into the swing of things? Because I've actually been doing really good on the whole meditation thing.

Okay. I thought I'd fixed the whole getting pulled into a different universe thing. Though I guess this is different from what I'm used to. Also, my parents are not going to be happy when they find out I was dragged through a magical portal to Texas.

I'm gonna be here awhile so...I'm Miles Morales. I'm fifteen, and I'm from Brooklyn. I was also told that I need a guardian to be let out of quarantine, so help, I guess? I'm a good kid, I can clean up after myself, and I guess I can get a part-time job and help out around the house or pay rent, if someone needs me to. I know it's pretty inconvient to just be saddled with a kid you didn't plan on getting.

Some details still need to be smoothed out considering the construction still going on at the hospital, but I figured now was a good time to get a head count on volunteers.

So, since we all landed here, we've been putting together a group of costumed volunteers to pay some Christmas visits to those (particularly children) stuck in the hospital over the holidays. Y'know, spread some cheer by people getting to meet their favorite fictional heroes and have some presents dropped off. People with recognizable outfits/costumes are preferred, but I can always ask around to see if there's interest in certain fandoms that might not be as easily recognized.

You know what I discovered in this last week? I can't lie. Someone asks me a question, and suddenly I'm talking about everything on my mind. They just want a "I'm good. How 'bout you?" Instead, I have given total strangers a full rundown on how much I miss my wife because she's living in another world. Not even another state. Another world. Y'know. Just a completely sane thing to hear from a total stranger. Guess what, total stranger, I was Spider-Man back before I lost all my powers.
