I find it interesting that even with the current shift in our community, the Portal still has a way of surprising me all on its own.

Even if this hadn't been true, she'd suspected he would be on his way and the rumbling of the truck that had long since become his own was affirmation. She moved to set the ramp down and held her ground in the entryway. An exhale escaped her as Chewie shut the truck door and moved for the open entry.Pushing off from the side, she met him with open arms. She knew this was painful for her, for Ben, for anyone close to Han. But she knew this was the hardest for Chewie and she couldn't imagine being inside the Falcon one moment and then on the cold ground of Tumbleweed the next, with Han completely gone again. His growl resonated and she pressed her head into his fur. "I know," she whispered, holding the embrace for a long time, until he was ready to steer her inside their home.

I was thinking about a potential rebrand.

So I've been thinking about aeroplanes a lot lately. I always was fascinated by them when I was younger. Hell, one time I nearly crashed my broom trying to fly too close.

But we've got these letters for our most unrealistic asks and for once I think I'm actually fairly prepared for anything else that might come our way. Why not ask for a plane? Several of you here have experience flying aeroplanes. If I asked for a plane, how hard are they to learn to fly? And could someone in this group to get some practice with that?

I've been thinking about what we saw on that "VHS" data tape. I don't know how many of you watched it, too, and who would want to discuss it, but I think we should. Especially those of us who have a connection to the Force.

That "world between worlds" as Ahsoka called it on the tape— we've seen things like it before, on Mortis. "Episodes" about that apparently exist here. I can't draw nearly as well as Sabine but I can try to render symbols that I remember, they may or may not watch up to whatever those episodes show, but I saw things on that tape that were very similar. I wish we still had a copy to study and compare.

This afternoon, both Rey and Anakin Skywalker will accomplish what has seemed to be downright impossible: they get off planet in their respective spaceships. Neither were coordinating this trip, and would only become aware of one another's success once they've broken atmo, but it isn't long before both ships will be racing one another in a long overdue, proper spaceflight. Both ships have the Bureau issued cloaking devices on them so there'll be no recognition from satellites or non Displaced, but those of the Community might have noticed how it seemed like a TIE Advanced or a YT-1300 freighter were ascending pretty high in the sky. To the point where you couldn't see them anymore. Straight through all this freak weather Tumbleweed's got going today.

VIDEO MESSAGE

The video starts with a shake of the camera, like the phone was fumbled, but the image is too close and everything is out of focus. After a couple seconds, the phone is dropped and facing up at a ceiling. In the background, nearby, there is loud barking taking place. Another moment later, an animated but familiar shape of a common toy steps into frame sporting Rey's formerly signature hairstyle. She's lacking a mouth but her eyebrows are drawn down in a frustrated look. Eyes focus in on the camera and she starts vocalizing but no words come out. At best, it sounds like frustrated grunts and groans coming from the back of her throat. Eyes narrow further and she lifts both her arms in a 'WHAT' gesture. There's very visible frustration that continues on as she moves in and out of frame, with a dog briefly rushing past view, before suddenly the camera shows a stylus begin to float in midair. It comes down close near the camera and suddenly the picture ends, as she has shut the camera off. Within thirty seconds, the following message shows on network.

So most of you already know about the memory potion I've been working on for awhile now. It works. It won't stop us from getting sent back to our worlds, but it does prevent a person from losing an eye like Margo did or getting memories of a future we're not living.

I intend to take it. My life is here now, I want to experience it without the fear of something forcing another set of memories or physical changes on me.
