However we feel about being here, one positive aspect is we had been trying to revisit education for some time and it appears that is now in our hands.

I think we should talk about what we're wanting to teach the people ripped from their educations here.

So hopefully those who are new have been more or less caught up to speed over the past 48 hours. But we should all check in to verify who is still here, and who's new. New people can ask what questions they still have.

It seems like they've shuffled rooming, but beyond that, we should see what other differences we can suss out.

The rooms are stark, though water and nutrient packets are provided in a basket along the one of the windowless walls. Each pod is marked with a two digit number and can be opened from the inside (allowing them to get out). They will have no network access and will not be able to leave these rooms though there does appear to be a sealed door on one end. This is not quite what I had in mind when I complained about the lack of handicap accessible options for moving around various scenarios.

So the space race may have been bullshit, or this is what we get for losing. Either way. The game has changed. Our objective now should be SURVIVAL.

• To the broadest extent possible, only travel during daylight hours, preferably in vehicles.
• When inside, barricade doors. When it is safe, take the time to cover your windows as completely as possible
• Arm yourself with what you have at home. Prioritize firearms and incendiaries. Molotov cocktails are super easy to make. Alcohol + Fabric. But knives, kitchen equipment, gardening tools, etc can all be used to good effect.
• If you're not comfortable fighting, do not stand your ground. Run or stay with someone more capable.

Now, before the sun goes down, we need to

1. see what the hardware store has in regards to barricades and weaponry.
2. We need to establish secure locations for children and the injured.
3. And we need as full a report as possible of who's injured and how.
4. and who needs or wants to move (it looks like we're not all waking back up in our assigned houses now because Daisy?)

Am I leaving anything off?

Is there a purpose to these sports team if we never have a game or meet? I didn't think I could get so tired of running.

Okay. I can appreciate the importance of experimentation. I can even see bending the rules of the Federation by using sentient species. Sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. I get that.

This does not mean I'm okay with this. I had a ship that was relying on me and more importantly, I had plans. I was not looking for an impromptu vacation.

Could someone please tell me where I can register some righteously indignant complaints? The woman who 'explained' my situation wasn't exactly a wealth of information.

I ain't sure about the rest of ya but I'm real tired of having part of me cut off without my consent. I reckon people don't seem to realize its akin to losing your sight or a limb even when our abilities suddenly ain't there anymore. I don't gotta remind anyone how many kids died when this kinda thing happened back home.

I think we need an amendment that guarantees us our right to having them.

Those of you able and willing to help with rounding up the animals to hopefully free the Hotel block, please respond so we can create a few groups to help out with this mess.

This feels particularly familiar. Though, it's usually my own creatures escaping. Are we helping these ones back to where they came from?
