Okay, the way I see it, we have three options:

1. We go further into the caves, hoping that they'll provide us with some protection in case the volcano erupts. But we'll die anyway, either from lava or toxic fumes


2. We make for the beach, getting as far away from the volcano as possible. But we'll die anyway, either from ash or toxic fumes.


3. We hope that the countdown means we'll be going back to the compound, meaning we don't have to worry about the volcano unless it erupts before the countdown runs out.

I can't continue to carry campfire time all by myself, guys. This story won't last forever. Can anyone sing? Dance? Can our resident priests lead us in prayer, even?

Come on, let's put a little variety into place. It'd be good for us.

A lot about this place reminds me of home - the weather, the geography, the color, how alive it is: it just feels the same. I could almost shut my eyes and think I was there. What you learn about places like this is to expect they're larger and deeper than you could possibly imagine. You can walk the same path in the same forest for years, and see something new. It's infinite, and it's a mystery, and there's always some corner or some shadow that you've never seen, and never will see. It's the kind of place that reminds you: you can spend your whole life somewhere, you can be as much a part of it as anything, you can belong to it completely - but it isn't yours. There are things you'll never understand, things you'll never explain, things you'll never know, and they're everywhere. They're everything. You're one of them.

If you'd told me a week ago that I'd wake up this morning under an overturned boat with Wanda, Bucky, Tony and a unicorn-- actually, I probably would have believed it.

But it's still weird.

I'm in the middle of a jungle I didn't plan a trip for, and my clothes are sticking to me like I walked into a giant armpit. I'm not interested in whatever game or experiment this is. I need to get home and figure out

There's a pteradactyl. At least I'm pretty sure that's what it is, but it's been a while since I read anything about dinosaurs or ate a scientist brain.

Where the hell am I? For real?

Since eating monkeys is generally a bad idea, a few of us have elected to stay down by the section of the river that hits the ocean. There are reliable food and water sources here - because made a net out of my plastic pants.

A few people rafted over here from the island, and I think there's a couple that walked over from the other beach, but if anyone wants a change of scenery, here we are.
