[November & Hotel (minus Pietro Maximoff)]

This isn't my first time playing a game like this, so I've been doing some work on my own and Jughead and I have come to the mutual conclusion that, based on our knowledge of the circumstances, the best suspect might be Pietro Maximoff.

I say best because we do have a second suspect, but it's more the two of us just narrowing our eyes suspiciously at someone and we have absolutely nothing more than that to go on. So, if this doesn't play out, we'll take that one for the team ourselves.

We're bringing this to both our block and Hotel block because Hotel's lead detective has recently made his suspicions very obvious and we thought it might be a good idea to give a guy who's clearly out for blood (and rightfully so, I lost my first girlfriend to a serial killer, so I get you, dude) the option to make his case for making the arrest, as it were. And, to be frank, Hotel block seems - from my rather limited time here - like the sort of place that likes to handle its own shit, which I respect.

Our evidence is all sort of circumstantial and meta, but we have noticed that with the exception of Poe Dameron, who was Maximoff's roommate, Rogue, and the recent crop of victims, all of the missing people were Avengers or those close to Avengers. Specifically, they were people who might have pointed a finger at Tony Stark. And since he was indirectly responsible for creating the Ultron tech, which was responsible for what happened in Sokovia, he seems like a good scapegoat for Maximoff. Maybe other folks here know something we don't that would connect the other victims back to either one of these two. But there you go.

If anyone has anything else and wants to share it with the rest of the class before you two duke it out over who takes this one in, be my guest, but this is what The Creeps promised to deliver, so consider it delivered.

There may possibly have been better ways to test if my powers still worked. But it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to LIVE, Harry.

In case anyone is looking for a light summer read, I just finished The Origins of Totalitarianism, so that should be free again.


If I'm honest, I really didn't like any of the characters.

It's astonishing to me. Absolutely astonishing to me, that people who've lived any less than a hundred years can ever murmur about boredom. Our minds are endless. The books in this place are endless, there is a mountain outside our gates that is beyond the realm of our own understanding and we are creatures held captive for reasons and aims and goals and desires that we know nothing about.


How can some many people fear death, and let their tiny minds wish for immortality yet they haven't sorted out what to do with themselves when you aren't being given something specific to do. It's worse than watching lazy beggars shuffle along breadlines. Think. Do. Discuss.

Or protest with your body and your heart, but why complain about a moment of respite?

All right. With all of those unco critters frolicking hither and yon back at the picnic, did anyone liberate a souvenir off one of them? Preferably a bit of unicorn, but I'm not about to discriminate.

Also, if you've spotted any around the grounds, I'm looking for lavender.

I feel as if I'm missing something. Would anyone care to elaborate on what a 'circus' is?

Horses. Lugh's balls, why did it have to be horses.

I grow weary of such mindless excess.

Drinks that fill itself when you finish drinking. Ice that never melt. Plates of these... sweets we use to fill our bellies that offer us nothing of substance. We fill empty days with empty calories. With drink. With this - ostentatious nothingness while there are others who starve. Our bread and circuses.

At least when we fight to survive there is purpose in this. Better to struggle than to surrender to pull of mediocrity.
