Happy Canada Day!
I'll be servingindulgent special dishes today.
For breakfast, right now at the Ruby - A breakfast 'poutine' - roasted potatoes, cheese curds, bacon, caramelized onions and red peppers, topped with an egg and hollandaise sauce.
For lunch at the diner:
Montréal-style smoked meat sandwiches
Brent's favourite. Chili cheese dogs.
Split pea soup.
For dinner at the Ruby: Tourtière
Desserts at the Ruby - Butter tarts
Blueberry bang belly
Nanaimo bars.
And possibly homemade timbits.If I don't eat them all as I make them.
