I have an antibiotic that could help you. Considering the path this disease seems to be taking, I thought about just contacting Nurse Temple, but I do think it would be better to seek out a doctor, first.

Dr. Strange pointed out that I should really have more people in the loop here, so I've widened the filter so that everyone this could be relevant to is informed.

So I doubt their goal is just to kill us all. (I am probably 70% sure that is not their goal. )

Who is confirmed to be a zombie? Is there some pattern?
Of those who are zombies, who have we taken out?
Who has been bitten or scratched and how long ago?
Has everyone with a serious non-zombie induced injury spoken to Drs. Culber, Strange, Grey, or Temple?

And since zombies seemed to have popped up in homes and it's been a few days of the undead crashing our cars and pummeling our rosebushes. Does anyone need or want a place to stay? Should we look into safehouse(s)?

And can someone take care of Tony Stark when you see him?

I'd like to offer a little insight into what happens if you let the Russians win, for those of you who come from places lucky enough to have - I don't know, orcs as enemies, instead. As one late Russian sympathizer once said: Imagine ...

The money you earn working your ass off is absorbed largely by the state, ostensibly to be distributed across the population to ensure a more egalitarian society, but actually to line the pockets of corrupt party leaders who then go off and build castles that make Al Indelicato look like Nancy Meyers in neighboring vassal states. You'll swap out the nice house you're living in now for planned concrete block "communities" of four hundred apartments each, all facing the same empty courtyard - the better to keep an eye on each other. A great way to make a few extra pennies is to report to your local "protection officer" that the old woman whose window you can see into at night just bought a suspiciously nice new shawl.

You can use those extra pennies to go down to the grocery store - if it's your appointed day to go down to the grocery store. When you get there, they won't have anything. That's because the guy in charge of deciding which food goes to which store is in the pocket of that aforementioned party leader, who needs some oranges to decorate the floating fruit trays on his infinity pool in Graftistan. He lets Mr. Grocery Distributor take home an extra pack of lunchmeat to his family every year for his trouble. So you're stuck looking at empty shelves and fighting over the privilege to pay eighty-six dollars for a pack of hot dog buns. (The hot dogs are made of beets, and they are out of stock.)

You'll be cooking whatever you can find in a pressure cooker made in the '30's, because no one has ever come up with anything better. There's no reason to. Any money you make off your innovation will just go right back to Comrade McMansion up there, so why bother? There are no new drugs developed. Technology stagnates. Any incentive to try something new has been completely stifled, and so there is nothing new. Life slugs along at the same grey, miserable status quo forever and ever, and you start to believe it's better that way because it's the same for everyone. Even though it's not. It just looks that way, because the only things allowed on your television are programs that tell you it is. Your television is black and white, and it is a CRT.

There is no remote.

Coming to New York always reminds me of one of the most important lessons I've learned over the course of a long, eventful life full of educational mistakes:

California is far, far superior to anything the rest of the country has to offer. There's no question - no contest - and no reason ever to leave.

This isn't even my worst Halloween. That one I spent in one of those cities where everyone who arrives assumes that the entire place is on perpetual vacation, and about ninety percent of them think it's incredibly fucking clever to play Thriller and Monster Mash on an infinitely alternating loop starting at midnight and ending whenever one of them stumbles out of the pile they fell asleep in on the gallery to shut it off.

Reader, I swatted them before swatting was even a thing. I got to have my morning coffee & beignets watching them all get thrown into the back of a van. So the good news is: a bad day can always really turn around for you. Cheer up.

It's been so refreshing to see people so united around here, for once.

And so many people proudly attesting to their dickishness. Honestly, it's a stigma that's persisted for entirely too long.

I know I have not made a public statement since my appointment, and I want to make it clear that I have no intention of using my position except where necessary. When things are going well, I hope you don't have to hear from me at all. Those that wish to contact me for any reason are welcome to do so.

However, the cancellation of today's training sessions marks the inevitable- we are soon due for another experiment.

I hope those that needed it took advantage of the classes to better prepare for what lies ahead, and I thank Sam Wilson for requesting them on our behalf. I know there are some concerns that have been raised about the nature of the next scenario, and I will not repeat such speculation here. I do not believe it is productive to rile up panic or hype up unknown threats. It is outside of our control, but we will do our best to respond appropriately when the time comes.
