Who: Lila and Lennon
When: Evening
Where: Lila’s home
Warnings: R, maybe?
Lila was not thrilled with her day. Washing clothes and then trying to buy some decent food on a budget of ten dollars was ridiculous, especially after she spent a dollar and fifteen cents on two burgers and fries for Simms. She managed to buy some rib roast, vegetables, potatoes, bread, milk, coffee and a few other necessities for a little over five dollars. Lila was
assuming that They would give her more money since she spent the day actually
working, but if not, she had a little over four bucks left. No more diner for her incarcerated husband until she started making more money.
She changed into one a drab, blue
day dress hanging in her closet, and brushed her hair down over her shoulders, pinning the strands up above her ears. She looked innocent enough. Then she got to work cooking. Lila was not much of a chef, to say the least, but she could figure it out. She began to prepare the rib roast while chopping potatoes and carrots. She had frozen peas on the counter, ready to be steamed. Lila did have much in the way of dessert but for some canned fruit cocktail, and the only beverage in her fridge now was iced tea she had made. Admittedly, it irked her that she was
lower class. As far as she could tell, she and Simms were the only Ex-B members who were placed in this particular social class. It didn’t matter. She would make it work.
