Day 65.Weather: Who cares?
Events: At 9 AM, everyone gets a message from TPTB. It reads:
As of this morning, three prizes have been claimed.
Oliver has claimed the handicapped access to the mansion.
August has claimed the renovated kitchen.
Theo has claimed material goods for herself.
These rewards are no longer available to other players.
Owen and Jack will also both find messages waiting for them on the network when they wake up, no matter when they wake up in the morning.
Jack's reads:
You have been ordered to update your prices. Failure to do so will disqualify you from the game. Furthermore, if you continue to operate under old prices, you will have to pay the difference out of your own pocket.
Okay, that's a dick move, but not an entirely unexpected one. Owen's, however...
Sheriff Flynn,
New orders have come in from up above. You do not have the clearance to hold Scott Simms indefinitely. C39 does not have the resources to feed and care for prisoners long-term. You must hold a trial for him tomorrow morning. We will select members of the jury to oversee this trial and pronounce judgment. If found innocent, he will be restored to his previous post. If guilty, he and his wife will be removed from C39.
Until the trial, you are ordered to release the prisoner on his own recognizance under strict warning to stay away from his accuser, and the witness against him.
Oh. Well,
shit. There's no way
that's gonna make it harder for a few people to stay in character, right? Nope. None at all.
