Day 54.Weather: The sun comes out and shines through-out the day, but temperatures remain in the mid-high 50s.
Events: It’s a lovely day, full of surprises. If you expected some kind of group reward following yesterday’s little survey, guess again. Punishment? No, not really. Just selective surprises. For some in the house, it may even seem quiet.
First, regardless of intentions, everyone in Mount Zenith would have fallen asleep at some point around 1 AM -- and yes, this includes Simms and his guards at the town PD. Nobody’s moved, so they’ll just wake up in whatever room they happened to fall asleep in. They’ll wake again around 7. There are no messages from TPTB on the computers waiting, no explanation for why they were made to sleep. At least, not at first.
A couple of things are happening today. First, when Kiley and Chase wake, they may realize that Chase has his closet door back. Once upon a time Kiley was made to sacrifice her door, and Chase donated his closet door to her privacy. It’s back now. That’s because Kiley doesn’t have her own room anymore.
Yesterday, she moved most of her belongings into Chase’s room. Today they will discover that the rest of her belongings are there, and her old room is entirely emptied out. The walls are bare, and not so much as a light or a single stick of furniture remains. Good luck, kiddos. You’re committed now.
Second, Oliver will at some point find a surprise in an unlikely place. In the
next condom wrapper he opens, he’s going to find his late husband’s wedding ring inside the condom. There’s a boner killer for you.
And last but certainly not least, after a long period of relative steadiness as far as their numbers go, two new subjects have been added to the experiment. Theo and Marisa will wake up in their respective rooms in identical conditions to those on day 1 (hospital gowns, disorientation, IVs, etc), and they will not be able to leave their rooms until they post on the network. Welcome to the fold, you poor creatures.
