( She was young, just eighteen, with a reincarnate still years in her future. It showed; the Doctor's sulking would have been slightly less petulant, slightly more cranky, and quite a bit more productive. )

What: The aliens aren't trying to break out of Torchwood, they're trying to break into Torchwood. Hilarity ensues...

What: So Lin's not really that into sport, but he's a sucker for people running about and enjoying themselves. Kai stumbles across an old friend with a new face. Wackiness (and a lot of lying and evasion) ensues.

( The rules of basketball had changed a bit over the years, and Lin couldn't always be bothered to remember if you could or could NOT run with the ball, or if you were meant to shove the other blokes. )

What: Lin makes more bad decisions. How do you tell your dad that you're a reincarnate AND that you're now a dude?

When: Friday, February 4, 2011 / Saturday, February 5, 2011. Late. We're talking 'shouldn't you be asleep?' late. Lin has no sense of timing.
Where: Kai's apartment. His proper, adult apartment.
What: Lin screwed up and feels like he should apologize. By waking Kai up. A+ apology, dude.
Rating: No idea. PG / PG-13ish.

( He'd never felt like he'd done genuine harm before. Not until today. )

Who: Lin Burns/the Doctor and young!Kai Polviander.
When: February 3, 1996.
Where: Kai's childhood home.
What: Lin overshoots his mark by, oh. Fifteen years. The result: the Doctor meets little Kai for the first time (from Kai's perspective). From Lin's, things start to make more sense.
Rating: G. It's an 8 year old and the Doctor.

What: Lin's looking for perspective. Instead, he gets a huge surprise - a blast from the past. Or future, depending upon your point of view.

( The Doctor was telling a complicated story about the first Olympics as Lin walked along slowly, hands clasped behind his back. )

Where: An all-night restaurant somewhere in London.
What: Post-showdown with the Master, the Doctor staggers off to recuperate. And, you know, catch a bite - regrowing a face is hungry work.

( He stomped grumpily through the streets in Caitlin's too-small, ruby red ballet flats, limping slightly due to the way the rounded toe-box pinched his feet. )

Who: Caitlin Burns, plus Team 'Search for Voldemort'
When: Friday, September 23
What: A combined Agency / Potterverse search team goes looking for Voldemort
Where: Also Little Hangleton. The Gaunt House and surrounding grounds.
Rating: Probably lowish. PG/PG-13.

( A soft thrum-thrum cut through the still of the night in Little Hangleton, one of Britain's newest fictional cities. )

Who: Tyler Cole, Caitlin Burns
When: Saturday, 5/30, around 3 a.m.
Where: Austin, Texas.
What: After birthday shenanigans and bar closings, Cait and Tyler drag Alex home so that she can pass out in her own apartment. Awkwardness ensues outside.
