Reincarnation has been a world-wide phenomenon for centuries. It began in secret, but as the number of reincarnates emerging in people steadily grew, the reincarnate population forged a community that was increasingly hard to remain completely unnoticed. At first it was something that was considered taboo to discuss, and most governments were clueless as to how to deal with them, happier to just look the other way and let the Agency handle their own as reincarnates started using their fictionally-given talents to move up in the world. Reincarnates became presidents, senators, politicians, even celebrities, while those more reluctant to re-assimilate after reincarnation began resenting those that did. A war began among reincarnates that spanned decades, splitting the community down the middle as people made new enemies of each other, while some rekindled old rivalries from lives past.
