The Hotel Chelsea. Also known as the Chelsea Hotel, a historic hotel and landmark located in the midst of New York City. It's located at 222 West 23rd Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenue, and still home to many residents both permanent and guest alike. On any other day it's the same establishment it's been known for since 1884, with a few minor differences here and there of course, including the resent closure two months prior. The residents (both mundane and celebrity alike) come and go, but the place remains the same. Except for tonight.
Tonight, the ghosts of check in's past have made the place their own.
All twelve stories of the breathtaking building are giving off a pleasant glow from the hotel's lighting, every suite vacant and decorated to the nines. The spiraling staircases are perfectly polished, as if no pair of hands has ever touched them. The stairs and door leading up to the private rooftop are wide open, and every dining sized room a hauntingly gothic themed mixture of reds and blacks lit only by candlelight. Tables full of various foods and drinks litter the common rooms, and the determinedly steady bass of the DJ's booth drowns out the soft murmurings of the masked party goers weeving their way from room to room. The only downside to a masked ball is that you never know who it is you're sneaking into an unoccupied room with, until it's too late.
To the outside observer, it might look as if the place is lit and buzzing with nobody home, but that is far from the case. For the minute the lights came on in the hotel, reincarnates everywhere could feel the Hotel calling to them. Beckoning them inside by the calm, yellow glow of the moon, for a night they'll never forget.
Let the tricks and treats begin.
