None of it's too fucked up right now either. Last year the worst it got was elf on the shelf dolls in creepy poses.

They're silly toys. Parents are supposed to move them around to make kids think they come alive at night to help Santa.

I think it's relatively new even compared to the modern Santa and mostly just in America. I didn't really grow up with any traditions either.

The Santa stuff is new, but getting things we want isn't. Happened a few times before.
