WHO: Anakin Skywalker, the crew of the Millenium Falcon and YOU?
WHEN: November 13th
WHERE: To Infinity AND BEYOND!! Or, other wise known as, from Tumbleweed to Space
WHAT: So a TIE fighter and a Corellian light freighter race to the moon...

This afternoon, both Rey and Anakin Skywalker will accomplish what has seemed to be downright impossible: they get off planet in their respective spaceships. Neither were coordinating this trip, and would only become aware of one another's success once they've broken atmo, but it isn't long before both ships will be racing one another in a long overdue, proper spaceflight. Both ships have the Bureau issued cloaking devices on them so there'll be no recognition from satellites or non Displaced, but those of the Community might have noticed how it seemed like a TIE Advanced or a YT-1300 freighter were ascending pretty high in the sky. To the point where you couldn't see them anymore. Straight through all this freak weather Tumbleweed's got going today.

Just another day in Texas, right?

Rey had the day off and days off are days dedicated to the Falcon. While the ship had been fairly stationery since the Zombie attack, after having been up in the air for so long, it felt good to get the controls under her hands again. She was thinking of maybe making a trip off the Coast and out towards water. Somewhere that was pretty. But she wanted to get a little fun in, too, so went up, up, up. She knew it was essentially going to be for naught, because it was always for naught, but then she felt like she was pushing past what had previously been an invisible barrier of sorts. The Falcon kept ascending with nothing stopping. The idea of pulling out for a quick loop of fun, that'd make BB-8 whistle in her direction, was thrown away as she considered seeing if maybe, just maybe...

"Hold on!" She shouted back as warning.

And as soon as it became apparent that there was nothing stopping her? That she was about to break through? A shout of excitement burst from Rey.

Finn burst into the cockpit upon hearing the shout from Rey. Grabbing on to pull himself into the copilot's chair he frowned mostly in confusion. "Wait. Are we doing it?"

Rey's shouts hadn't come to an end. She was cheering on her beloved inheritance, talking to the ship as though it were able to understand her. There were strings of 'Go, go, go' and 'Come on,' before her attention was caught by Finn's arrival. Her grin was impossible to suppress even with the frown.

"Yeah, I think we are."

He immediately looked for restraints just in case they did break atmo. "Good thing you've kept up on life support."

There was another flash of a grin. Rey had been resound to the fact they weren't ever getting off planet. The idea that they'd even get in the air had been impossible until recently. And she'd lived through being grounded in another dimension to back this up. But even with that in mind, she'd never let the Falcon fall into disarray. Just in case.

Her fingers were dancing all along the control panel, flipping the necessary switches and hitting the appropriate buttons.

Finn shot a knowing look over at BB-8 when he saw the expression on Rey's face. They were going to break atmo whether this planet wanted them to or not it seemed.

Anakin hadn't been taking his ship up as often as Rey had, but frequently enough to have adjusted to flying the TIE in what was practically a different body. He'd had to tweak some things, like activating the ship's life support that he hadn't bothered with when the suit supplied it. As he'd promised Aphra, he took her up with him sometimes, too. That had required even more adjustments since it wasn't exactly a passenger ship, though it had juuust enough room to squeeze someone in.

He was up flying with Aphra and mindful that one of the Millennium Falcons was up as well; it would be pretty dumb to have a collision. He was just doing a visual check on it when he noticed something really different was happening.

Sure, there wasn't an obvious "you shall not pass" line up in the sky, but it was no secret that nobody before had gotten outside the planet's atmosphere. Yet this Falcon was flying up, and up, and up...

He toggled his comms on and tried to reach the Falcon.

Aphra saw the Falcon continue upwards, and not for the first time, Aphra desperately wished the Ark Angel II wasn't a kriffing house. She could have flown in it now, even if she couldn't break atmo. She was glad Anakin got his ship, but damnit. They'd had to install an extra harness in case flying got rough. Aphra reached over to curl a fist around one of the straps. If he was going to follow, she was going to need this.

Aphra probably wouldn't want him to fly as if he had no passenger, even with the harness. Probably.

"Falcon here." She'd kept an eye out for other aircraft that morning and had noted the TIE but it wasn't the one she suspected was trying to hit her up on the comms. It was possible another one of the few Tumbleweed spacecrafts were out flying away from initial view. There was at least a half dozen these days. Her excitement was impossible to contain as she spoke.

"Anakin Skywalker." He hadn't been inclined to name any of his ships, and in case the audio wasn't clear on her end that it was him and not Anakin Solo. And, of course, this was clearly Rey and not Han flying this particular Falcon. "Am I imagining things, or are you flying past where any of us have flown before?"

Did you happen to notice one of the ships ascending? Which one did you notice? Did you just shrug it off as another fruitless joy ride or did you think maybe, just maybe they were breaking atmo? Did you talk about it?

Or did you not see this occur but heard about it from someone else? Is it true a ship got off planet?

K-2 feels very lied to right now.

There may be looks at Jyn.

"Now can we steal a ship?"

Jyn is pretty much gaping. It's not a pretty look. "Yeah, let's see what we can do."
