I'm filtering you cause I noticed you were all willing to help with evacuations and Kamala (hi?) I don't know you at all, and Pidge we've only talked a few times, and Amadeus I know you're a bit older, but thanks for pointing out the arbitrary line man, so you've got like an honor filter here.

Basically, I'm kinda just reaching out to say hello, and to ask what kind of things you do at home, cause I was thinking getting to know some of my peers better might be a helpful idea if, which feels likely to be honest, we do end up in some sort of crazy situation.

I miss I'm so restless.

Since we've mostly got our battle plans sorted I want to talk about evacuations as well. There's getting to be a lot of us and in a crisis things get confusing so knowing in advance what to do will go a long way to making sure it goes right.

• Almost all the time when an evacuation alert goes out there's not going to be time to do much except get to the lifeboats on Deck 6. You should probably check where they are at some point so you know where you're going.
• A lot of us have pets and I know no one wants to leave them behind. If they're out with you that's not much of a problem but otherwise you should pick one person per suite to go and grab them if there's enough time. We have to be realistic that sometimes there won't be, and I'm not just saying that for everyone else - I always have at least my budgies that are confined to their cage and sometimes my Eevee stays behind too.
• Relatedly, Rogue suggested that it might be a good idea to pack a go bag for emergencies so that if there is a little more time you can grab it instead of trying to figure out in the moment what to bring. You shouldn't need to worry about food and things, so it's better to pack light so we don't take up too much space. A few clothes, medications, things you really don't want to leave behind.

Now the important bit, not leaving anyone behind. We need a way to know who's already boarded a lifeboat and who hasn't, which Tony should be able to do using the bracelets. (I'm assuming?) We also need a couple of people for each floor who can do a quick sweep to make sure everyone's left and to make sure the lifeboats are boarded efficiently. You will most likely be the last people to leave, so keep that in mind. For floors 1-4 and 7-10 that'll probably be banging on doors, for the others a quick check of all the public areas. Then when that's done, get to Deck 6 to help load.

I've only evacuated towns and cities before so please weigh in on any of this ^ if you think there's a better way of doing things. And if you want to be a floor monitor or floor captain or whatever, sign up here. 18+, minors should go directly to the lifeboats. Everyone else make sure you know who's responsible for the floors you spend most time on.

adding: Since each accommodation deck has their own lifeboat, based on Anakin's experience it's best to stick to what's been assigned. People responsible for clearing the matching floors will also have the final call on when to launch, even if someone's missing. So, make sure you have a decent idea of who should be there and make note of whether any of them are clearing public decks and can be expected to take a little longer. Tech, I'd still like a way to check people off as they board lifeboats if we can so we know if anyone hasn't turned up. The way people come and go it's going to be more reliable than memory.

Other things people have pointed out
• Make sure your floor coordinators know who's in charge of fetching pets so they can expect who'll be around
• There was talk about swimming lessons for anyone who doesn't know how which I would definitely recommend, having literally been marooned on a Caribbean island
• Gansey's going to check with the robots to see if there's a way to teach some people to row. We do have a couple people with water powers which would be the ideal but let's try not to rely on it.

Since we're talking about emergency plans, a message for the tech geeks. Dr Aphra and Ezekiel Jones are discussing a command centre to handle communications - both alerting everyone to emergencies and making sure no one gets cut off during an active situation. I'll also be there to keep track of the information we receive and assign tasks to mobile response units so we don't get some things being forgotten while too many people go somewhere else and I believe Charles will be with us as a telepath. If anyone has hardware or skills that would help, they're the two to talk to.

Personally speaking, I can work with a whiteboard or pencil and paper if I have to but coding an interactive map of the ship I can manipulate on a tablet would be more effective. I can do it myself but I know we have some coders around who might be able to do a better job.

Incidentally the Coffee Bar is actually ridiculously good. Let's not have aliens steal all our coffee this time.

I know we got the patrols set up and I've seem some talk here and there from people wanting to figure out what to do in case something does actually happen, ship being attacked and all that. But did we ever come up with an emergency plan? Cause I'm kinda thinking it might be a good idea to do that.

I know that school is required for those under 18, but unfortunately there's no such requirement for those of us currently in college.

Ava and I would like to change that! For those of you that would like to continue your education, Ava and I will need what courses you were currently taking before the jump. We can't guarantee everything we need will be in the library, but let's really look through out things! There's a good chance our text books came through and that would be a HUGE help.

Any adult that would like to give their knowledge and assistance would be most welcome.

Right now we just need a list of names of people who are interested and what classes they were taking so we can put something together.

Alright, fellow passengers. Now that I am back on board because you kind of can't stay out in the ocean forever (I mean, I need my sleep too, and I am for certain that Dad's underwater palace is nowhere near so.. SO.. moving on), a couple of things to note:

- I'm not sure if it's legal to fish for things around here or anything but there are actual normal marine wildlife around here. As far as I can see, really. Just do not hunt for sharks. Those poor guys are endangered enough.

- Thanks to my dad, I'm able to usually see or sense navigational lines in the waters. And unfortunately, I can't see them. At least, I can't see the latitudinal or longitudinal lines in these waters. So, I'm about 85% sure that we're not on our Earth's oceans. The remaining 15% wonders if it's just my powers, although the rest of them seem intact. So, hey, even if we were able to steer the ship (which I doubt), we'd not know where to go anyway, unless someone else can sense them.

- You CAN swim in the ocean if you feel like swimming with wildlife but for safety's sake, since these are still mostly unfamiliar territory, I'd suggest letting someone who is a water-related expert here (like myself or Remy although I can only volunteer myself) know first, so you can get back to the ship safely.

That's basically it. I think I'm going to go collapse in the suite now.

Stating the obvious aside: we've made another jump. Some of you remember (and would like to forget) the Prettiest Star space cruise ship. This one is on water this time. From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. Most of what I've seen seems familiar to cruise ships on Earth, but who knows so make sure you're careful until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

The hospital is taking sign ups for people to dress up and visit the kid's ward on the 23rd and 24th for Christmas. Claire organised this last year and absolutely nothing weird or implausible happened. It works best if you have a costume, uniform or distinctive outfit that's been seen in a tv show, movie or comic book that's pretty well-known. Books usually aren't visual enough and video games don't get as much advertising so fewer people see them. A good rule of thumb is probably "can I buy a Halloween costume of myself?" (That means you Steve Rogers I don't care if you're not Captain America anymore.)

It's super super super super hot. So I'm going to sit in Fortescue's the rest of the day eating HOLIDAY FLAVOUR ICE CREAM. The sugar plum fairy one is really good and you can mix it with peppermint but peppermint and gingerbread or peppermint and nutcracker don't really work as well. Gingerbread and nutcracker does though.

Hi Secret Santa, I'm TJ! I'm a mutant, I like rock music, sunshine, clubbing, pretty things and climbing frames. My hands and feet are a funny shape so gloves and toe socks are not really a thing I do, and I have a bunch of physical therapy for muscle strengthening on my right side. My favourite Christmas food is gingerbread with plenty of ginger and my favourite Christmas activity is opening stockings in the morning. I would rather have a beach holiday than a mountain one, own a lizard than a snake, give up tv than junk food, be stranded on a desert island with someone I don't like than by myself, skip my birthday than Christmas, travel through space than underwater, sit with a resting lion for ten minutes than run across an alligator's back, live in an amusement park than a zoo, live in the future than the past, in the city than the country, wear a bathing suit everywhere I go than formal clothes, be a server than a chef, raise chickens for eggs than beef for meat, be a few inches tall than a giant, spend the rest of my life outside than inside, go back in time to prevent the 1929 stock market crash than to save the Titanic, and never touch an electronic device again than never touch another person again. OI. Those of you that showed interest in Quidditch and need to learn how to fly meet me at the pit. Today. 5 PM. Because as wholly entertaining as that would be, that'd be an entirely different kind of sport than Quidditch.

I have more than a few questions about what the supermarket defines as "fun"...

They SAY quarantine but it FEELS like jail. Is SHIELD behind this? No one said anything about SHIELD, but they don't always announce themselves.

Since we've done Thanksgiving and it's almost December it's about time to bring back Secret Santa, I think. We did it last year but for the new people who don't know, December 25 is Christmas which is usually celebrating by gift giving. The patron saint of the holiday is St Nicholas aka Santa Claus, who brings gifts for children. (Spoilers: those presents are actually bought by their parents.) A Secret Santa is a gift exchange where everyone who participates gets the name of one other person and anonymously buys that person a present. So everyone gets one, but they don't know who it's from unless that person chooses to tell them. It's fun and a lot of workplaces or families do it to cut down on everyone having to buy presents for everyone else and spending all their money.

If you want to play, leave a comment or email me [ooc:you can just send me a list of characters if you don't want to comment for everyone]. On December 3 (next Monday) I'll do the assignments and tell you who you're buying for. Get your present to me by 5.30pm December 19 (a Wednesday) and I'll deliver them all.

If anyone disappears before the 19th, I'll jump in to make sure no one misses out, and in case I disappear I'll leave the list with a couple other people so they can handle it. If we get taken to another universe... I've got no fix for that, so let's hope we don't.

Going through some of my father's apothecary chests to pick one for my next blog post I've found today's "the past was total bollocks" item - a bottle of chocolate covered strychnine tablets. Delicious.

If anyone's got a craving for spicy, my food truck's in the house. It'll be parked downtown from 10 am to 2 pm starting tomorrow. Cash only until I get accounts set up.
