It's super super super super hot. So I'm going to sit in Fortescue's the rest of the day eating HOLIDAY FLAVOUR ICE CREAM. The sugar plum fairy one is really good and you can mix it with peppermint but peppermint and gingerbread or peppermint and nutcracker don't really work as well. Gingerbread and nutcracker does though.

This peppermint is pretty amazing, though. They only have a limited amount, so I ordered a half galleon to pick up, tomorrow.

I'm only buying stuff just before I eat it or it wouldn't be fair so probably I'll have to switch to the normal flavours after a while. They thought they made heaps because everyone comes on the first day and it's been warm this week but they didn't expect it to be this hot.

Ben showed me once! It's science. You need cream and sugar and sometimes milk or condensed milk depending on the recipe and usually a little salt and whatever stuff you want to put in for the flavour.

Aw, but gingerbread and peppermint together would totally be like eating a gingerbread house without having to worry about breaking your teeth on the staleness or swallowing a spoonful of dust.

I've never found that magical point of having it out long enough to enjoy the spectacle, but not so long that it's stale. Maybe this year I'll luck out.

Maybe there's a test to see if it's getting stale like how you poke a skewer in cake to see if it's done.

I mean, the timing is what we're experimenting for.
