I'm guessing the Tolkien books are in the library, although there may not be enough copies for everyone. I have digital copies on my computer - the trilogy and also The Hobbit - if anyone would like to read them on their tablet. Just let me know.

I was also thinking we should screen the movies, if we have them, even though there might be inaccuracies (if we're visiting the book world). Because it might be hard for new readers to get through 3-4 books in the two days before we hit the port.

Can the boat move just a little faster? I'd like to see Middle Earth now.

I honestly have no idea how I'm supposed to feel about this. I gather this is something exciting, though? It seems interesting at any rate since this isn't something that I know, which means exploring places that I've never heard of.

We were fairly laissez faire with Atlantis and got caught up in the middle of a war. Middle Earth already has the potential to be a lot more potentially violent. So let's talk safety in Middle Earth.

I don't want anyone going off on their own. Use the buddy system--at least--particularly if you are going outside of the Grey Havens.

If you are leaving the Grey Havens, make sure you are suitably equipped with equipment you have some idea how to use (or have someone in your party capable of defense). Communicate your position regularly in case you need to be picked up in an emergency.

Until we have a better feel of the attitude of the locals, keep your powers close to your chest.

Do not go looking for fights especially those of you who are still recovering from Atlantis. There is nothing cool about getting your ass kicked by a dragon.

If there are rumblings of conflict between the native groups, regroup at the ship ASAP.

So, let's all have fun, but safe fun.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm growing bored of this luxury cruise. I think I'd like to spend the time we have in Middle Earth off the ship as a family. We can head back via one of the teleporters if we find ourselves in a bind or if they need us for something. What do you two think?
