What: Fighting the Reapers while the city goes to ruins

When: As the Reapers start to make planetfall

Status: Open Logs, multiple characters, multiple scenes
Notes: I really liked Simon's idea so I'm borrowing it as an excuse to write Shep action scenes for Day ONE. Feel free to throw yourself in with Shepard, or thread your own.



The initial steps onto the planet were almost surreal. The loud noise, both in the air and on land, were almost impossible to distinguish. Buildings could be seen and heard to crumble, people were screaming and sprinting, carrying loved ones or whatever valuables they had decided to weigh in equal measure to their lives towards the landing zones. It was only the beginning, and already things weren't looking good. The Doctor had managed to buy the citizens of this planet some time, had probably saved more lives than one could even count by holding the Reapers off just that much longer, but now they were landing. Now they were razing cities and decimating armies like humans would swat flies. Now the world was raining down around them and war was coming to this galaxy...

( If what they said about War was true, that it really didn't change... )

(OOC: Because people like music?. I love this artist for action scene writing.)

Is this ever going to end? Are we making any progress?

[the sound of wind and metal clanking together in a tornado of limbs, heavy breathing and a strained voice]

[While she sounds strained and in pain, there is also determination in her voice, As well as anger.]

These accursed creatures have tried my very last patience. They have dared to make mockery, and I will not see them stand for this. Alucard, here are your orders; use your guns to paint this army scarlet. Search and destroy.

[There is a pause, but it is far from uncertainty]

Release control art restriction zero; announce your return. Say the words and release your full power. To those the Hellsing Organization has worked with before, I suggest you step back. These monsters will pay the price of their affronts.

[There is some strained groaning and yelling out in pain as Bruce undergoes his transformation.]

HULK SMASH!!

(OOC: Bruce won't be able to respond because he's currently Hulking out on some Reapers, but you can use this post to have your character's react. The guilt of so many injured coming in and him not helping defeat the Reapers finally got to him and he made an actual decision to go Hulk-mode. He won't be hurting any played characters this time though. A successful Hulking!)

I got the lowdown from Cosmo. I know I've somehow managed to get to another dimension despite not being anywhere near a TARDIS when it happened and I know this place is currently battling something called the Reapers who sound pretty scary. He also mentioned there are people here who I know, but they're probably all over the place with the Reaper invasion.

So, Mickey Smith checking in. I'm here to help. Put me to work. I'm best at the tech side of things, but I won't be shy about shooting things in the face if someone has a gun for me to use.

Why, this is like fighting dragonspawn! [she sounds weirdly delighted by this] If only the rest of Destiny's Edge were here.
