asgard has the most wonderful fabrics and wool so that the clothes i make will have to be beautiful because of what they are made from, and any skills i have will not matter. and the food i cook will be delicious because of the ingredients, and nothing to do with anything i do. if i bought livestock here i fear they may even herd and tend to themselves though i have yet to see a cow milk herself or a sheep shear its flock. who knows, for this is asgard and the gods walk here

I won't lie, I'm beginning to suspect that I'm not in SFO anymore. I knew they were doing some work on a few of their terminals but I feel like I would have remembered hearing about them opening a gate or two in space. We are in space, aren't we? Some sort of station? Admittedly, sensing ley lines within an artificial structure threw me off, it isn't something one sees often in my experience. Handy bit of magic, that. But still, we are in space, yes?

In any case, I am Zatanna Zatara, the mistress of Magic, the princess of prestidigitation, the headliner of the annual stage illusionists convention who apparently not only missed her plane to Vegas but has managed to literally fall off the face of the earth. If anyone would be so kind as to explain where we are, what is going on, and if whatever foodservice system is in place here offers a vegetarian option, I would be incredibly grateful.

Hey have you guys seen this youtube thing? I found like a hundred videos about building igloos

I have a few announcements as the holidays get close!

First, I'll be doing two special classes. One will be cookie decorating, the other for a holiday meal. Holiday meal will be similar to Thanksgiving was; we'll make some sides that can be reheated and I'll explain how to prepare a roast day-of. That class is adults, or 13+ if you have an adult come with you. Cookies will be kids encouraged (but certainly not necessary). I'll have the cookies pre-baked but show you how to make them too so you can do more later if you want, the focus will be mostly on decorating. There will be lots of different icings and chocolate and candies to decorate with and you'll go home with plenty of cookies so you can leave some out for Santa and still have a bunch to share. Since the holiday meal class will take a little longer, that one will be on Sunday the 22nd, cookies will be Monday the 24th. Coffee and hot cocoa will flow at both.

Next, the tradition hasn't been started here yet, but when I came from we always did something called Christmas for Strays and I'm going to host it because no one should be alone on Christmas unless they want to be. Basically, anyone who doesn't have a place to be or people to be with on Christmas (or anyone who just wants to come, wants to meet new folks, or just doesn't have the energy to put together a Christmas meal), can meet me in the food court at any point in the day. I'll be there starting at 5am, with cinnamon rolls and hot drinks. A full breakfast will be ready for 9. Through the afternoon there will be snacks and small bites, a fire, some games, and holiday movies. Big dinner will be at 4, and dessert at 6. More festivities in to the evening, then cocktails, mulled zap apple cider, or hot cocoa at 9, when we put on Die Hard. Anyone is welcome, and you can come and go as you please, you don't to stay all day. Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, feel free to drop by, and if you do celebrate something else and want to do something similar for your holiday, we can figure that out too. Only thing you have to do is bring one present to exchange, and one bit of food to share. It doesn't have to be homemade if you don't want it to be, just something you like and want to share.

There will be one more class for kids only! If anyone wants to make something to eat for anyone but don't want them to find out about it in the other classes, we'll meet on Saturday the 21st and I can help you make whatever you like and we'll wrap it up before you go home. The only grown ups will be me, Darcy, Mary Ellen, and maybe Stevie, and they'll be sworn to secrecy so you can make things for anyone else and they won't find out.

Does anyone know how to build an igloo?

Snow is coming!  It'll be here soon.  Get boots for walking around the hallways.  I don't think it'll be cold this time.  Get winter clothes just in case.

We should pick a spot on the station for snowball fights, someplace where the really little kids don't go.

I think there'll be more stuff in the stores too.

Do you all know that being in space is bad?  It's giving us a higher chance of cancer and other diseases, making us lose bones and muscles, messing with our hearts, giving us cataracts, all kinds of shit problems.  There might even be radiation.   If something breaks, we'll get sucked out into space, our eyes will freeze, our lungs are gonna turn inside out and our hearts will explode!

I don't know if there is anyone left that knew Kylo, besides the other force users, me and Kat, but if there is, he's been laid to rest in a Mausoleum on wheel five. If you'd like to visit.

Instead of having a funeral, I'd like to have a gathering of people, in a party like fashion. There's a nice pond in the wheel three, it's nothing like the hot springs on the island, but it would work. I know there's a grill or two. And I've talked Brynhild, and she's promised me some really good beer. Bathing suits are optional.
