Can someone please explain for me, what difference is there with using "the" or "a". I have not a direct translation for these words in my own language. I understand they go before certain nouns, to refer to them? But what difference is there if I say... for example, I am reading a book, or I am reading the book?

I understand if it is a no, but I am wondering is there doctor on island who can help through the door in Russia. It is not island related. It is friend of mine in Peter, he has most unusual sickness for some longtime, and no doctor that he or I can afford can ascertain the cause or indeed the cure for this sickness.

He has the fever, and he sleeps for days on end, often raving nonsense, saw - галлюцинация- thing that are not true? He is unconscious suddenly, shaking and so on. The doctor here say he does not eat enough is being the cause, but I give him food and no change.

If you are not wanting to get involved in the past, I understand this, and perhaps- is there some shop on the island, perhaps I can take something like a watch or such that I can pay a new doctor in Russia myself?

If anyone is wanting a tour guide / translator for discovering St. Petersburg, I can do this for you. Much better experience for you.

If you prefer to go alone, allow me to offer some few word of advise to avoid paying more than you should be, and the part to avoid also, if you are not wanting to be victim of theft or so on.

I say not to scare, it is most beautiful city, but all citys have bad areas. If you find you are having problem, just telephone and I will fix for you.
