Good evening.

A most kind lady has given me a précis of my new situation. I cannot believe it, but apparently I must. This telephone invention is not something we have and although I have a few friends who would find it very amusing to leave me in a strange place as I slept, they could not find one like this.

This is very slow, and I must make this message short.

I want to know who left all the flowers in the lecture hall. It is perfection. Were I still in Cantabrigia I would insist you repeat it. Often.

This seems a lonely place and my friends are not here to help me, so I must also sadly inform you that I have an illness. I cannot infect you with it, but it is incurable. I have occasional fainting spells. Ordinarily I have enough warning to lay myself upon the ground before it happens. If you see me, do not be alarmed, and do not try to assist me unless it appears I have done myself an injury in falling. It will soon pass.

Would anyone be willing to teach me the basics of Potion making? I'm not magical, I don't have a wand, but I want to know the theory at least.
