So before everything went to shit there was talk of organising a town meeting, seeing as an awful lot of you have arrived recently. We have a number of pressing concerns as an island and we clearly need to get you all up to speed. It's really not been the best time for you all to arrive, but that's hardly your fault. Oh, and for the record, I'm Cutler.

Obviously we'd like all the new people to attend, but if you're hesitant, at least make sure someone else is here that can relay the information back to you and speak on your behalf. If you've been here for a while and you're not exactly in charge of anything, I don't expect you to attend, but you're more than welcome to if you would like. I'd appreciate those of you that are to either be here or provide me with a bit more info on the state of affairs of whatever it is you do. I do understand some of you have some pretty important things to contend with right now.

A little ridiculously, I'm going to suggest we hold this meeting in the basement of the apartment buildings. Why? Because it's right downstairs, there's room amongst the supplies in case most of you turn up, it has electricity and there's biscuits. Though probably not tea unless someone locates an urn. Actually, I know where there is one. There might be tea.

8pm tomorrow(/Friday). If enough of you complain about the time I might be compelled to change it. You will, of course, be free to raise your concerns, but can we please leave any feuds at the door. This is about organising shit everything we need to organise. If you'd like a feud meeting later, I'm sure we can work that out.

(OOC: Sorry if this is a little early, but I'm about to sleep. You're probably okay to start noticing earth tremor/quake and the change back though? And I will do an OOC post for this in the morning where we can work out who said what or actually attended, if you like.)

Changes need to be made to the security on this island.

Hunters do not have free reign to kill whoever they see as a threat.

No one person, or two people, or three people, have the right to decide who lives or dies.

Everyone on this island must have equal status if any of us are going to survive and everyone must have the right to decide on an individual's fate.

This island is clearly going to test us and some of us will break; if everyone who breaks is ruthlessly murdered by those who hide behind false morals and justice, no one is safe.

Security needs to be handled by those who have the power to restrain and contain dangerous individuals until a collective decision can be made as to their punishment or fate.

If lethal force is someone's only defense or form of attack, they clearly are not qualified to protect the population from everything this island will throw at us.

Who will the island fuck with next? What will the hunters' excuse be this time?

If the current security team don't agree that's up to them, but there needs to be reform. I'm not willing to risk any more of my family, or any one elses, because the people who are supposed to be protecting us aren't capable.

At least four people died the other day, thanks to this island's fuckery, because the current security team couldn't contain and manage a threat. It can't be allowed to happen again. I lost my brother and others lost their friends and loved ones. No one of those losses is any less significant than the others! If we start discounting murders by saying they were "justified" or "the only way", I might as well start eating my way through the population of this island now. I'm sure I could come up with some pretty good excuses.

BUT THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Death, at the hands of anyone, is not acceptable. If I can understand that, anyone can. We are alone here; it's for us to build a society that we're all safe to live in - that our children are safe to be born into and our loved ones are safe to be happy in.

There are some here who like to think of themselves as powerful and in control just because they've been here longer than the rest of us. I say that's bullshit.

Capability, Power, strength and, most importantly, unity are what will protect us, not a few extra months experience.

Who's with me? Who's going to help me make this island safer for all of us, even the ones who are cosmically screwed over by things outside their control?

Am I the only one who has a problem with a mass murderer talking about morality?

Yes, no one should be killed without a fair trial. I absolutely agree. But I'm against turning a blind eye. This place is crowded with mass murderers. There are people here who killed for fun and for entertainment. They caused hundreds of people grief because they felt like it or enjoyed the power. And you want them to run your security system? That's fucking sad!

More than half of you know where I originally come from. There are so many who've read the books about my godson. You know that I've seen my friends and family get killed. And the murderers got away with it. And now, I see these people talking about justice and I feel fucking sick! Damon Salvatore killed the friends, children and lovers of people because animal blood doesn't taste as good as human blood and he didn't care about the hurt and pain he caused. I know that most of you don't want to hear this but that's how it is.

I've shut up so far because I know that I'm usually alone with my point of view. No one seems to care about past victims, about lives that have been destroyed. But I fucking care!

Who's up for electing a mayor or something like that? Someone to be in charge. If everybody has a say in who that leader is, there'll be less of a problem, I think.

Whatever your opinion is about crimes committed pre-island, it is just that- an opinion. Your opinion is not a fact, no matter how strongly you feel about it.

Regardless, it is also a moot point. We cannot offer someone a fair trial for crimes committed pre-island, because we do not have access to all the available evidence, or every possible witness. All we would have in any case, is hearsay, rumour, and one person's word against another. That isn't justice.

Woah. Time out.

Let's all get back to our corners until we know exactly what we meant to say and stop stumbling over our damn words.

We get it, you're bad ass, all of you, in one way or another. You've killed, this is your second chance, it's is in your nature, you've been in prison and so on.

People are bound to have conflicting ideas in any community. But do remember, this is one man - two at the most, without an army to back them up. What the fuck are they going to do, bomb us to kingdom come? They're just saying what's on their minds, is all.

Calm down. Nobody's getting killed, or tortured, or cut open or staked. Okay?
