Day 46.Weather: The rain stops, but it's rather windy out. Not dangerously so, just enough to blow leaves all over the place.
Events: Initially, in the early hours of the morning, it may appear that all is quiet and calm. There are no computer messages, no raining animal plagues, no weird tests. Alas, eventually
someone is going to go into the kitchen, and it's all just gonna go straight downhill from there. That poor bastard, whoever he or she is, may decide to just pretend they didn't see anything, in case the phrase 'don't shoot the messenger' doesn't apply in Mount Zenith.
The fridge, pantry, and any cupboards that store food have been
dramatically restocked. All that anyone will find in the kitchen are raw fruits and vegetables. There's not so much as a can of chicken broth nor even a grain of rice to be found. No junk food, no bread, and yes,
no meat. There are
only raw fruits and vegetables. You won't even find a bottle of salad dressing.
So, assuming someone calmly and rationally decides to head into town and visit the grocery store? They're going to find the same thing there.
No other food products can be found
anywhere in town. But there
is a giant envelope labeled
'OPEN ME' taped to the door of the grocery store. It reads:
"Some time ago, the house as a whole was made to vote between having a fully stocked pharmacy, or not being responsible to home maintenance. The pharmacy won out, and we warned everyone that they must care for the property. There are now a considerable amount of stains, particularly around Marco's room. Additionally, the yard is in need of upkeep. The leaves must be seen to, and the lawn is in need of trimming.
Once you have seen to these things, we will restock. Good day."
Unsurprisingly, there's no lawn mower to be found anywhere in town. Ain't life grand?
