Who: Kiley, Pam and Cecilia When: Late morning after this Where: Her room
The constant barrage of Stetson the day before had finally stopped. Kiley was able to sleep somewhat peacefully through most of the night, though once she had showered and dressed that morning, she felt incredibly silly for her behavior the day before. Freaking out over a smell was ridiculous. Sure, it reminded her of her dad, and all of the horrible memories that came with him, but she had to know he was dead, and nothing, not even the creepers in charge of this place could bring him back.
After Chase headed into town, Kiley grabbed a cigarette and settled in a chair on the back patio. It was cool today, with leaves blowing about, but at least the rain had stopped. Kiley wasn't sure how long she sat there. Certainly awhile past her last pull of her cigarette. She knew there were issues with the food supply, thanks to the lawn being in shit shape, and the goddamn stains outside of Marco's room. Kiley wasn't even going touch that mess.
Finally, after she began to shiver from the weather, Kiley slipped off the lounge chair and padded, barefoot, back inside the house. She had pulled on a hoodie she'd taken from Cassi's the other day when she'd gone searching for Chase's map in town with Lennon. It was comfortable, and warm, and Kiley was starting to accept the fact that they were all probably going to be there through the winter. And that was going to blow.
Heading upstairs to her room, Kiley contemplated what to do with her day. She could track down Lennon until Chase got back. Or head to the basement to swim, or relax in the hot tub. Just... something. Getting restless was always a dangerous thing. Especially after the day she'd had the day before.
Her mind was elsewhere when she opened the door to her bedroom. She didn't catch even a glint of the spiky caltrops littered in front of her door. Of course, stepping on several with one barefoot had her forgetting any potential day plans, because... pain. A lot of it. And then a scream, which apparently came from her, even though it sounded far away. There was no point in even hobbling to her bed, when she was already falling over onto the floor.
Kiley sunk down onto the carpet, drawing her foot up to look at the damage. Three caltrops stuck out of her foot, blood starting to appear quite rapidly around the wounds. It was probably some of the worst pain she had ever felt in her life. She already felt a sheen of sweat starting to form all over her body and Kiley grit her teeth, fingers trembling as she pulled one of the caltrops out. It hurt coming out almost as badly as it did going in, and Kiley released an involuntary cry of pain. Her eyes squeezed shut and Kiley let her head roll back on her neck before being unable to hold it back. "Motherfucker!!
