Um. So, I did a bad thing.

But it's okay! I swear! I've got it all under control. Everything is okay.

I didn't want the tribbles to just get sterilized and die out completely because they're so cute and lovely, but I didn't know they reproduced... you know asexually? (I honestly thought it would take two! I'm so dumb.) I, uh, ended up with about ten of them because I took one with me when we evacuated.

I spoke to Mercy in medical and she agreed to neuter them or spray them or whatever and they're in there right now under surgery. They're going to be up for adoption once they're all healed in two weeks. I'm going to keep one. Does anyone else want to adopt the others?

So... now we've got piles of sterile non-native Tribbles on Knowhere, right?

How many is it okay to keep before people start calling you a crazy cat lady?

I know we didn't meet under the best of circumstances (story of my life), but I think the time we spent stuck together was pretty interesting. Feel free to drop by my place whenever you like; you can try more Earth Terran food or whatever.

As far as I can tell this is the list of our group who are evacuating. We should make sure that when we go, everyone gets marked off and no one's left behind accidentally.

This list is opt out, not opt in, meaning not everyone on here has necessarily spoken up about their plans. Check whether you're there. Check whether your friends are there. Make sure you know how you're going to be traveling.

Once an evacuation plan is in place, do you all have a rough idea who is staying?...I finished the arrays design tonight. I heard there are some volunteers to draw it that weren't alchemists. I'll have to send it to you to practice drawing. It's...not easy and it needs to be exact.

If anybody is concerned about the whole sterility thing (in either direction), I can test you afterwards if you want.

We've got something pretty big going down in about two hours. Everyone needs to use their passports and get off the head, stay off for the next eight or so hours. It's safer that way.

Anyone who stays behind when this goes down is risking sterilization. It's not a guarantee but it's a possibility. If that's not something you're worried about, feel free to stay behind and help us. But if it is, you need to leave in the next two hours. Now's a great time to visit Earth and get yourself something to eat. If you haven't used the passports before, find someone who has and they can help you.

[...]I think we've come up with something and I think it's solid. Thanks to Georgia's idea to modify the little rodents Elodin an I have a few ideas actually on how to sterilize the critters en mass once they're frozen. He's trained in medical, I'm trained in alchemy which is chemical transformation and amplification of that manipulation could en mass sterilize the creatures but I'll need help. This place is huge, I'll need every alchemist and anyone willing to learn to copy or draw the array's necessary to do it to help me scatter them through the head.

Cosmo suggested we send them to a Cold planet using some kind of technology to do it since our passports only would transport one but I'm no tech expert, so does anyone know how to build anything like that?

So, several of our number here wish to end this ordeal with ice, and yet others would see it done in fire. How strange that the threat of these tiny creatures would inspire such poetry.


I am concerned, however, that our divided attentions will only prolong the problem, and it is a war of attrition that will surely claim many of us soon. Since my arrival to Knowhere, I have been dashing back and forth from here to Earth and other supply posts nearby literally non-stop - and I can honestly admit that I can go no faster and safely carry no more at a time. As my skills are not suited to subtlety, I can likely contribute nothing else to this dilemma; I will instead continue my efforts to relieve our barren stores.

Whoever is currently commanding this station must decide upon a solution. And to any who would see these 'Tribbles' spared...steel your nerve. We may yet fail to be skilled or kind enough to allow them to live.

A thought occurs, albeit perhaps without merit. Can we determine a way to lure them to one point? Are they attracted to a sound, or a smell? If they are all together, it would be a simple task for me to either destroy them all, or use a portal to take them away.

Once these things are frozen can anyone perform surgery on something that small? Stop them from breeding? We'll have a chance then while they're still to stop them from multiplying. Or some magical fix? I don't know much about magic...

We'll need someplace to send them too.
