How is everyone settling back in? Medical's back up and running (thanks, Doc) so as people start returning, if anything happens, we'll be ready to take it on.

Also, thanks to those of you who are bringing food back with you, and making special trips to bring back the food.

And for the people who helped transport the tribbles to new homes-- you know who you are. You're beautiful and we love you.

We could also use a little blood, so anyone who can donate, drop on by. We'll keep everything compartmentalized by who and where, it's just safer that way.

I will be leaving shortly for Earth. Until then, I retain my ability to travel unimpeded by ravenous tribbles, should anyone wish to hire me to convey packages.

Delta's been crunching numbers and he's been so uptight about it he won't let me think.

We noticed food start to go missing on the 19th at around 11am, that's about 110 hours ago. The tribbles reproduce every 12 hours, with litters of up to ten. If we say it took about 100 tribbles to make that much of a dent in our food supply back on the 19th, and average each tribble having 6 babies each..

If we started with 100 tribbles on the 19th, saying each has 6 babies every 12 hours, at 110 hours.

And assuming a few have died off since then (what's the life expectancy on these things?)..

We should have about 1,007,769,600 of these things on Knowhere as of right now. By tomorrow at this time, 36,279,705,600.

Well met, castaways to Knowhere. I know not what force has brought me here, but my friend Cosmo has briefed me on our situation.

I am called Beta Ray Bill. This place, chaotic as it is, is quite familiar to me, almost like returning home; I also know quite well how often...'problematic' people tend to visit, so as long as I am bound here, I will dedicate my strength to its protection. Please call on me should you ever be in need.

Cosmo mentions that we are short on doctors. I'm afraid I have no knowledge of medicine, save for the most basic of bandages. However, I am more than glad to venture out anywhere for supplies - I do not require a ship, as my hammer will suffice to carry me through the stars. Food and other necessities as well. I am at your service.

I am also quite glad to buy a round at Starlin's, but only if you have tales to tell of your exploits. Beings from all walks of life often end up here, so it is only natural that there should be many stories to be heard.

Okay, so now that the pilot episode of 'Welcome to your new life in Space', where I got to meet the cool dog and maybe freak out a little bit is out of the way...

Hi everybody!

My name's May Parker, but my friends call me Mayday, and this is my first time in Space. Which I've been told is kind of the normal here? Anyway. This is kind of weird, but also pretty cool I think. I mean, how many people get to be suddenly whisked away to an alien planet and then get to come to a place like this? Uhm. Other stuff about me: New York is pretty much the best place in the world, I'm a big fan of science, biology and chemistry mostly, and I like to keep my medical skills sharp just because when are those not useful? I bury my nose in books a lot but uh, see again about the first time in space, so I'll be doing a fair bit of exploring.

So...Space. Long time watcher, first time visitor. What's your advice Knowhere?

So whoever has that notion in their head, just know that I would kill you for a Klondike Bar.

I've been looking at the magical means for these disappearances because Castiel says he can still sense the missing people somewhere, but he can't determine how near or far. I know that there's a dimension that borders our own; we call it the Nevernever, which in supernatural circles, is best described as the spirit world. The cat I sent out with Bob found several places that touch on this world enough for people to be able to go through it to that side of things.

I'm going to open a Way into the Nevernever and see if our people are on that side of it, and if not, I'm going to politely ask whatever is on that side if they've seen traces or heard anything worth hearing about.

The Nevernever is the place of Faerie, of Heaven and Hell, Elysium and Tartarus and Valhalla and every other place you can think of from Gehena to Olypmus. It's scary as shit and there's no telling what the hell is on the other side of a Way.

So if you want to come, okay.

But I will say this: smaller parties attract less attention and will let us move faster. Speed and less attention are our best allies. We're not going in twenty deep.

Your technology won't work on the other side, so don't bother saddling up with communication devices or freaking blasters and fancy guns. The older your weapons, the less likely they are to malfunction - anything built before 1960 is the best. Whatever you bring in, you bring back out with you because leaving it behind is the equivalent of dropping nuclear waste on someone's lawn. It'll come back and bite you in the ass, trust me.

Yes, we. I don't have the money to hire builders, and I thought it would be more fun anyway if we made an event out of this. Has anyone ever been part of a barn raising? You don't have to actually raise the barn, though that would be nice. If you can feed everyone and make sure nobody keels over from forgetting to drink enough water, that'd be helpful.

Pleasure to meet you all. It's a lovely place you guys have here, is this the culmination of everyone's 'mind palace'? My what big eyes it's got.

Anyway, hi, I'm Spider-Man. I've been to space plenty, never lived here though... it's kind of like Star Trek meets Punisher's wet dream.

I like short walks on the beach, I've never read the first two Harry Potter books, I just watched the movies to catch up, I call it soda, and the dress was blue.

I think that answers all the important questions. Now, where are the Borg?

Now that I'm out of the hospital, it's come to my attention that we really, really need a barn around here. Newt's doing a great job, but I hate to have to keep putting my chocobo in a suitcase asking him to put up my bird when I should be taking responsibility for her, you know?
