It seems that even without a specific focus with my work I still manage to lose all track of time when I'm in a lab. I'm sure I'm not the only scientist who has experienced this phenomenon. So I would like to ask my fellow scientists for tips they may have to help avoid this happening all the time.

Do you maybe want to go out for dinner instead? I suddenly realised what the time was and even if I leave the lab now it will still end up being really late before we eat if we cook something.

[ DAISY ]
If you're not too busy this week we should go for coffee or something to catch up properly. I miss you.

Hey. So. I saw discussions of a Halloween party on here earlier, and I have to say, that's all well and good for you thirty-somethings. But I think it might be better if the younger ones here broke off and went our own way. Save ourselves from all the creepiness before it even gets started.

What do you guys say?

You know, this reminds me of the time a hole in space-time ripped open in the middle of a PTA meeting, unleashing a horde of screaming, terrified, murderous pterodactyls on a horde of screaming, terrified, murderous parents and faculty.

That said, I'm not sure how I feel about this pocket dimension. I liked the last one. It was charming and comfortable and I had grown very used to it. But this one certainly has its interesting features. Like the looming sense of existential dread. And the looming sense of nearby dinosaurs. And the small, organic coffee shops, with their small, organic coffees and small, organic employees. And change can be a good thing. A vital thing, even. It's like President John F. Kennedy once said. "Change is the law of life. If you do not change, you are breaking the law and you will be forcibly detained and reprogrammed."

Has anyone seen a perfect, wonderful and handsome man by the name of Carlos? He is a scientist, so you likely would have seen him wandering around writing down numbers and things and muttering to himself about science. Or possibly trying to do science to a dinosaur.

Futzing heck.

Seriously? Dinosaurs?

I have an infant are they still infants at six months? and there are about 500 too many dinosaurs around for my peace of mind. Did they redecorate the Savage Lands?

I also think the trip shorted out my aids. Futz this.

Okay. Not where I expected to end up. There's a lot more... dinosaurs here than I thought there was going to be. Am I going to have to apologize to my mother for saying creationism was idiotic? Whenever she shows up, at least...

Why are there so many new people at once? Is there a hole somewhere they all fell through?

Maybe we should up patrols sweep through outside more, look for anyone else dropping in.

What do you do to date someone now? It's been most of a century since I took anyone out and the rules changed.
