Why are there so many new people at once? Is there a hole somewhere they all fell through?

Maybe we should up patrols sweep through outside more, look for anyone else dropping in.

What do you do to date someone now? It's been most of a century since I took anyone out and the rules changed.

Never thought I'd be giving you dating advice.

Just be yourself. And I mean really yourself. You know, not who you think you should be. I think she likes you just fine that way. Just do what you normally do with her and go from there.

Well it's bad advice if that makes you feel better.

If I do what I normally do with her then we'll sit in her apartment and and watch TV that doesn't make sense. I meant what do you DO?

And what do you wear but I'm not asking you that.

See? This is why it doesn't make any sense.

I think staying in is actually a thing these days. But you can try going out to dinner? Probably not flowers. I read somewhere that's offensive nowadays to some people. I don't know. Don't be late. Definitely don't be late.

Clothes. You definitely wear clothes.

The world is upside down, pal.

Then how's it any different? Wouldn't they just feel like you take 'em for granted? And flowers are offensive? When the hell did that happen? I'm never late, I get there early and prowl around the rooftops anyway.

Well damn, I was just gonna show up bare assed with a bow.

You're a lot of help.

Yeah, and now we've got dinosaurs.

I think it depends? Maybe make dinner instead? Night in isn't so bad as long as it's not every night. And it's true about the flowers. Different flowers mean different things. I knew a little about it back in art school but it's even more complicated now. You could be giving someone an 'I hate you' bouquet and you wouldn't even know it.

Might wanna save that one.

I'm really just here for the moral support. I've been on one date in about 80 years.

I'm kind of used to those now.

Steve. You made flowers complicated. I don't remember the girls I gave flowers to and now I gotta worry if I gave them flowers that said they were ugly.

Well now I will, since you told me wear clothes. I wouldn't have thought of that on my own or anything.

Did you go naked and that's why you're telling me about the clothes?

I think we can both safely say you can basically listen to everyone else's advice and I'm just here for moral support, pal.

And yeah, no. I didn't go naked. I mean I'm pretty aful about things but not that awful. I've had dreams where I've done that. Really, really, embarrassing ones.

It was just coffee anyhow.

I got good advice from a nice redhead and Felicity and don't have to listen to you.

If you wore the uniform it's pretty much almost the same thing anyway.

You're supposed to tell me if you do that so I can vet locations and dates.

Good lord, you two.

Start simple. Dinner, maybe a movie and a walk. Dress casually but nice.

They may show up and be fine. It happens.

You healed up now? Saw the doctor at the hospital? The blond one is all right, he's Daisy's friend.

Even if they're dead there, doesn't mean they are here. That doctor, Lincoln, he's dead in his world. A few others are here after they died there, too. This place is different. You could still see them.

Yeah, him. All right. They gave you a place to stay?

I did that when I got here too. The apartments are pretty nice though.

The old standards never change. Dinner and a movie. Parking. A moonlit stroll. Though, you have to be a bit more careful about where you stroll.

After that, well, it just depends on how far you're looking to take it.

Okay kid, that wasn't the standard when I was doing this. But I can probably handle the dinner and movie. Don't have a car for the parking. Stroll's not a problem, she can vibrate anything's bones into rubble if it comes after her anyway.

Just the date part.

First, ignore Mike. In fact, ignore all the men in this post, they are idiots.

Second, is there anything she's suggested an interest in lately? Like a movie she mentioned wanting to see or something she wanted to do? That can give you some easy ideas.

Dress nice but casual. Jeans. A good shirt. You're hot, so you won't have too much of a problem there.

Don't come on too strong, especially if it's a first date. Don't do anything physical without making sure she's okay with it. And make sure she knows what you're comfortable with too.

Compliment her.

Flowers are good, if she likes flowers. People in this day and age don't worry too much about flower language, so I don't think you'll offend her if you do get her flowers.

Don't talk about politics, religion or past relationships. Either stick to getting to know her, or if you were friends already, just keep the conversation casual.

For dinner, if you do dinner, pick somewhere reasonably casual but also not too much so. Don't take her to McDonald's.

Going for a walk can be good, but keep in mind the weather. It's starting to get colder. If she seems cold, offer her your jacket. You'll probably be fine without one.

Most of us are. But I figured most of them except Steve have dated this century, so I asked anyway.

She likes cats and shows about magic people that make out, soaps that smell like food and actual food. She likes the card game where the point is to be mean and funny. She doesn't like movies that make her jump and she likes cartoons and computers. I have a list so there's not upsetting things around the apartment. She likes laughing at me when I get weird about the sex parts in movies. I could take her to the animal shelter when the guy she hates isn't there, but then she'd get a cat.

Jeans and a shirt. Not black, since that's what I usually wear, right?

I wouldn't. We're going slow. And I'm from the 30's when you had to be married to do any of that. That's why Steve's so pure.

Okay.

Steve is dumbass. I don't know if she likes flowers, but I'm not getting her daisies since that's her name and it's obvious.

I know about her past relationships, our politics is probably a president dinosaur. We're friends, so I think talking we can handle.

Okay, but McDonalds has cheap food and serves you even if you are wearing a face mask on an op for a secret evil organization, so they're great.

Yeah, I can do that. I'd have remembered that one.

Thank you.
