By now you're all aware that the ship has stopped. It would appear that we've been hit with an EMP, an electromagnetic pulse. Possibly two. All electronics appear to be off, though the network and tablets have been re-established so we can communicate easier. We're not sure the extent of the damage, but backup generators have not come online so those must have been hit too.

Right now, our priorities should be food and getting the ship back up and running. We have no idea where we are in terms of our next port. It could be a day, it could be two. Without food, two days becomes much longer than you want. Potable water is going to be an issue too. While there are bottled waters, we have no running water. On a ship like this, that means toilets, showers, and sinks will not work. They're all electrical.

If anyone has any skills, magical or otherwise, for keeping food at temperatures to keep it from going bad, that would be fantastic. Food storage, including refrigeration and the freezers are on level C. Medbay is on D. A & B are engine rooms, so that'll be fun to dig through.

Those EMPs came from somewhere and for some reason. I don't want to be caught blindsided. If you're specialized in tech, I'd prefer you working on the ship. If you aren't sure what you can do and want to help, patrols are good. Bucky 2 has a current list, but I think we should have more considering.

If you're down an arm or a leg due to the EMP, let us know. We'll try to get someone to help you as soon as possible.

I was hoping we'd be told about the next port by now.

I'm 5'11", so if anyone thinks they're too tall to borrow a dress from someone else you can at least try mine. I don't have a very wide range of styles.

If you go shopping in Agrabah you should expect to haggle. The real price of an item is usually 30-50% lower than what's listed, so begin well under that. If you're buying something significant they'll offer you tea and a seat towards the back of the stall when it gets serious so the negotiation can't be overheard so easily by passersby. Shopping is a social exercise in places like this, not something you do quickly like in America.

Since Scott emailed the others, I wanted you three to know next: we're having a boy.

I've filled most of a notebook talking to local gardeners and botanists about plants that can grow in small spaces. I've got photographs and samples and I think I'm going to spend the evening planning a good layout for the balcony outside my room, if anyone would like to join me at the cafe on the ship.

X-MEN:

We're going to need to keep an eye on this Banner. Seems he's a little less stable than the one we have in our world, which is really saying something.

And Warren, don't think about killing things without me.

It looks like I'll be able to see if setting up a garden is feasible soon, and if the crew cleans everything away still have time to explore or try something else afterwards. At the very least I should be able to get some potted plants for my room.

It has been some time since we all managed to have a meal together. I would like to rectify that. Dinner, this Thursday, which location tbd. Does that work for everyone?

Okay, I know a couple of people still need to have patrol shifts covered. Let me know here if you do for the next week and I'll make sure you don't have to worry about it. And if you want to take time off from patrol for any other reason, that's cool too. Just say so, so no one is left hanging.

I know some people showed interest in this, so if you're new to this and want to take up a shift or two on a more permanent basis, let me know day and shift time. We can always use more people.

Is everyone safe?

We don't know for sure if'n anything is actually happening but it's better to be prepared than not.

If something does end up going down, there's a community center in the middle of town that can hold families and any other non combatants. We'll get a portal set up from the ship to it. And we'll need some people to sign up to help defend it.

Hopefully this is all paranoia, but let me know if you're gonna be heading there if something happens or if you want to help defend it.
