The best/worst thing about falling asleep in the Forge basically all the time is that when you start getting weird notifications about coming to pick things up and you're trying to get extra sleep before school (because it's a painful and exhausting experience [...] except for French, which is kind of okay, I guess) is that Festus sort of uses his tail to knock your cot over. Then you're awake. Usually this is annoying, but today? TODAY?

I'm going to need a collection of people who'd like to help me with something that's come through. Um. I got the blueprints for the Argo II. I guess rebuilding won't be the worst thing I've ever done. When I got here, all I had was Festus' head, so we know that I'm stubborn. Uh. The magic should come from the Hand itself, but I don't know what the rules are in this world and I'm concerned I might need backup magic to fall back on. It's not guaranteed, but I'd feel better with an Emergency Plan B.

It appears as though my gift has finally arrived: my horse from back home! I was so thrilled to receive the call from the base that she was here. I rode her home, though unfortunately my backyard here is not nearly as vast as it was back home and I've nowhere to keep her. There were a few people who mentioned owning or running ranches before.
