MASSIVE PRISON BREAK NEAR SYDNEY By Nicolas Redding, BBC Australia Thursday, April 25, 2013 Reports are coming in of a massive prison break that occurred this morning at Long Bay Correctional Centre near Sydney. Details are still coming in but it would appear the break was a premeditated assault intended to free several members of the alleged crime syndicate The Honoured Society. It is believed these escapees took with them several hostages who were at the time visiting the prison, including two children. Efforts to locate these escapees and their hostaged of their retrieval are being hindered by the ancillary damage of the escape, including the flight of several other prisoners who took advantage of the chaos. We will continue to offer updates as new information is made available. UPDATE: It is believed that a member of the assault team who led the break was captured in the melee, but his injuries prevent him from being interrogated. UPDATE: It has been reported that officials have reached out to the International Vol Institute for aid. The IVI has recently begun sending groups of Vols to offer their special abilities to aid in crisis situations.
