MASHA'ALLAH, THE EID IS COMING!! I have e-mailed the administration and they have got back to me this morning, so GUESS WHAT??? We will have an Eid party!!! Next Friday!!! There will be a BIG TENT, and MUSIC and VERY NOISY SPEAKERS and muhammad, you will play the drums, and A FEAST OF LAMB for everybody at lunch, and middle-eastern snacks and desserts and mehndi and face painting and cotton candy and CAMEL RIDES!!!

Oh and the Eid prayer of course, leading by the chaplain.

They said everyone that is not Muslim can go to the party after classes because they will CANCEL TRAINING. CANCEL, WOW!!

You must also help me by giving me a list of your favorite Eid food, and then I will send the list to the administration. AND THEN THEY WILL MAKE IT FOR US. OKAY?? Everybody get to work!!

I presume Tess and Katja took point on this, laying out some blankets and providing some snacks. Karim would have brought a pair of portable speakers and insisted on playing DJ, which means everyone was subjected to a lot of pop music unless anyone wrested control away. There were beverages, which I believe Remy was having some fun with.

A few frisbees were requisitioned from the athletics department, and there was plenty of casual warm-up and frisbee tossing before attendees were divided into two teams for a game of casual ultimate. Karim sat off to the side and acted as commentator, with plenty of opinions and criticism thrown in for good measure.
