Week Twenty: Friday

Who: Alice, and Vivian
Where: The Pit
When: Night, duh.
What: It's about damn time these two hung out.

It was safe to say that Vivian was a brat. That was even more evident to herself, now that she had been exposed to high quality, tailored clothing. She'd managed to pop over to Waters Couture and Chantal, and been fitted for the clothing she was set to where for the photo shoot the following day. The experience had been a bit odd. Sort of like being a complete strangers barbie doll. They dressed you up, then pinned, and synched every thing they put on you. She had to admit though, the clothing had fit her far better than any others she'd ever worn before. Which was amazing, because like every other woman that existed, her body wasn't perfect matched to clothing bought in a store. It had spoiled her though. She was now looking for some way to make enough money, so that all the clothing that followed could be tailored as well. Investments maybe?

"Pleeeaaassseee?" She purred against his ear. "I'll bring you your drinks personally the rest of the night. Or... I can get you the number of the blond dancer you've been drooling over. How about that?" Her arms hung lose around the neck of the dj, the front of her body pressed to his back, as she pleaded for him to play a bit of Type O Negative for her. She was going to be there till late in the am, so why shouldn't she get to make a few request? "Yes? Oh, thank you! You're an absolute peach, lovey. I'll have the number for you before the end of the night, I promise." Smiling brightly, she planted a kiss to the side of his face, then released him. She hadn't even made it back to the bar when the music she'd been aching for began playing. With one hand holding her bowler hat down on her head, she danced her way threw the throbbing crowd on the floor. Friday really was one of the best nights. Everyone eager to get out, and release that pent up energy from the week. It was amazing. It didn't hurt that she'd dressed to kill that night either.

With her bright red lips, and thick black lashes, she appeared to look like something out of A Clockwork Orange. Which wasn't a bad thing in her opinion. The book had been fascinating, and the movie was a Kubrick classic. Though, the Shinning was still her all time favorite of his. Who didn't want to resemble a very creepy, yet some what hot psychopath? Then again, she had been called strange on more than one occasion in her life. "I'm coming! Don't you see me heading that way?" Less experienced bartenders didn't seem to care for others wandering off for a moment. Easily overwhelmed, poor things.

"Don't get your knickers in a twist. That's tequila... You're making a Vesper, right? You need Vodka, not Tequila, love." Sighing, she butted the girl out of the way, taking over the preparation of the drink for the awaiting customer. "Don't leave, watch. You're learning for a reason, right?" She couldn't be too hard on the trainee. She had been one once, and if it hadn't been the for the patience of her fellow employees both at the Dead Horse, and here, she wouldn't have become the kickass bartender she was. "Now you need gin." Plucking another bottle from beneath the bar, she added the last chemical to the cocktail. "There you are." When the customer passed over the pay, she turned to the trainee, "He's tipped you, congratulations." Grinning, she quickly made her way down the bar, picking up her momentarily forgotten section of bar.

Week Eighteen: Sunday

Who: Vallis, and Vivian
Where: The Music room
When: Early, early Sunday morning
What: A performance interrupted

Some evenings after returning home from work, when the sun was too close to risk spending much longer outside, she found herself wandering the castle halls. It gave her time to think in an environments that wasn't nearly as constricting as her dorm room. The previous night had been no different. Friday had been extremely busy, and tiring. So when her shift ended, in the early hours of Saturday morning, she returned promptly to the castle. If it hadn't been for her catching sight of the grounds keeper tending to a few matters not far from the school entrance on her way in, she likely would have retired. For a moment she had considered walking over, and speaking to him, or just doing something that might have drawn his eye to her. He probably knew she was there regardless. The truth was, she had no idea what she might say to him. For once, she knew that she was in the wrong. She almost felt as if she should apologize to him, but her pride wouldn't allow her to do so. So, when she walked up the lawn that morning, it was no surprise that her eyes had searched the area, for even the smallest sign that she wasn't alone. She found nothing.

Even with that small disappointment, she did not head for the Terrene common room. No, her feet carried her own, without much guidance, or directly. They moved on their own, while her mind danced between the beautiful little muse she knew would be sleeping at that moment, and the father she had abandoned. Her Jaida. The thought alone brought a soft smile to her lips. That was one thing that she did love, waking up next to the girl. Seeing her in those last few moments of sleep, when she was peaceful, and serene. No matter how much she adored that mouth, it was nice to see it at rest from time to time. Henry.... she couldn't even begin to imagine where he was at that moment. Nor what he might be doing, or thinking. Yes, he had been very angry with her the last time they spoke, but it was so hard to predict an outstanding reaction when it came to him. How long would the anger last? Or had it perhaps already left him, along with she from his mind.

Week Seventeen: Friday

Who: Henry, and Vivian
Where: The Lux Hotel
When: Friday Night

If anyone touches my bike, I will have to murder something. Oh yes, that was a good way of thinking. It was, however, completely true. She hated parking her price in public places, ones which she knew would have it well out of sight for a time. No, she wasn't planning to stick around the whole night, but she had no way of knowing when he might decided to show up. Henry had the habit of making her wait, so, she wasn't going to rush herself. The Indian purred loudly, as she drove into the hotel parking lot, picking a spot at the side of the building, and then lowering the kick stand with the tip of her booted foot. Once leaning, she turned off the ignition, and plucked her bag from the back of the bike. The sun had been down for less than an hour. The stars were becoming steadily more visible, hovering over the haze still hanging back from the sun. It was the most she could glimpse of the day, without the protection of the schools windows in place. Those warm brown eyes of her watched the horizion, drifting back, and forth as she made her way towards the entrance of the hotel. This was either going to be a long night, or a hellishly short one.

The Lux was a nice enough place. Nothing compared to the bigger hotel on the island, but then again, she wasn't about to have this meeting in a place that would likely break her wallet. This was more within her price range, and any other charges that followed, she figured she could handle. Walking into the lobby, she approached the front desk, giving them her name, and asking if he had checked in yet. He hadn't, good, that gave her a bit more time to plan. Handing over her credit card, she charged the room, and took her key card with a thanks. This was going to suck... plain, and simple. This was not something she was looking forward to at all. It read very clear on her face, and by her steps. Moving as if she were walking to her execution. Fuck, maybe she was. There was no way this was going to be a happy ending.

When the light on the lock turned green, she pushed down on the handle, and stepped inside. The first thing that struck her, the smells. It was odd, even in hell, she could pick up on the individual smells of everyone who passed her. Cleanser, and laundry soap stuck out the most, yet, still faintly, the smell of people who had previously occupied the room hung in the air. Some smells she would never get used to. Or, she hoped she wouldn't. Dropping her bag down onto the small sofa, that filled the living space, she moved into the bathroom. "Oh my God..." The shower, huge, the bath tub huge. It beat the hell out of the showers at the school. Okay, she, and Jaida were going to have to spend a weekend at a hotel one of these days. It would be amazing. Sitting on the edge of the tub, she turned on the tap, testing the water until it was near scolding, then pulling the stopper to close the drain. Yes, she hoped he was late now, she wanted to enjoy a bath uninterrupted.

As the tub filled, she made her way into the bedroom, slipping off her boots, and tucking them beneath the bed. Now, he wasn't going to get the show he thought he was, but, she didn't want him to catch on right away. So, she intended to look the part. Having lifted her bag on the way through, she shuffled through it, taking out her dress, and laying it, as well as the thigh high, black stockings upon the bed. The heels, she rested on the floor. After pinning up her hair, she disrobed, and slipped back into the bathroom.

Vivian was thankfully able to enjoy a good long bath, leaving her skin warm, and her body relaxed. She tucked away her old clothes, and quickly dressed, before once more occupying the rest room. It didn't take long to fix her hair, parting it severely to one side, while it set in the thick natural wave of hers. It was as she applied the dark crimson blush to her lips, watching her own reflection in the large bathroom mirror, that she heard someone fiddling with the door. Who else could it be? Her stomach knotted, but she didn't move, just continued on until she was ready. This was going to suck.

Week Seventeen: Tuesday

Who: Jaida and Vivian
Where: The beach
When: Around 9ish

Stupid classes were really starting to get in the way of her social life. Ok, maybe not so much her classes, but the fact that Viv actually seemed to enjoy them definitely ate into fun time. With little else to do, Jaida had managed to drag her sorry ass out of bed and set a pretty good attendance record for the week. It wasn't a habit she was looking to form, but at least it gave her something to pass a few hours of the day with. Thankfully, Viv had sent the note yesterday about meeting up on the beach and she really couldn't have picked a better time. With Heaven and Hell closed for the week, J was utterly and totally convinced she was going to go out of her skull with boredom. Sadly, it was way too chilly at night for her scrawny butt to take a dip, but a few bottles of yummy yummy alcohol would help mend her broken heart at missing out on a swim.

She'd crashed for a few hours since they wouldn't be meeting until late, then crawled out of bed to change clothes. One pair of leopard print leggings, an over-sized black tunic and neon blue belt later and she was nearly ready to go. There was the matter of re-fluffing her ridiculously neon hair, of course, and touching up her make-up for the night. And just because they were meeting on the beach, with sand, didn't mean Jaida planned to forgo her usual sky-high heels. Nope, she simply went with boots, harder for the sand to slip in there. Ha ha. She grabbed a bag and shoved the two bottles of tequila she had inside it, slinging it over a shoulder. So that seemed to be everything....she took a last glance around the room to make sure she hadn't missed anything, then grabbed her keys and locked the door behind her.

When Jaida finally reached the front of the school, she could see a familiar figure outside waiting for her - had to catch a cab to the beach, after all. Pushing out the front door of the school, she hurried over to give Viv's rear a firm smack before she saw it coming. "Hey fuckmuffin, ready to go? The party has officially arrived..." she grinned, tugging her playfully towards a waiting cab.

Week Fifteen: Thursday

Who: Max, and Vivian
When: Thursday Night
Where: On the school grounds
What: Flying in the fog, it would seem.

Flirting. It was a past time that she enjoyed. One which more often than not, found her in a spot of trouble. One, which she had taken up around the age of seventeen, when she discovered that boys existed, and tended to act rather oddly around her. Vivian could thank her time spent in an all female primary school, for keeping her sheltered up to that point. It may have been this first impression of men, that her entire opinion was formed upon. That they were indeed, odd creatures. Of course, it wasn't true of all of them. Only the majority. But really, what did that say about women? They knew this of men, and yet still flocked to them. Vivian recalled having previously heard a saying, which she now knew to be true... Men were stupid, and women were crazy. Now that she found herself playing both sides of the field, she could appreciate such a logic. Women were beautiful, and appealing on so many different levels, but the crazy was something she could not handle in large doses. How men did it, was beyond her.

The never ending battle of the sexes aside, it seemed this night was going to be an interesting one, if anything. The vampire had woken an hour, or so before, after her nap that each day, ate the remained of daylight. Her sleeping habits were strange, and it was more likely, than not, that she did not sleep as much as she should. The simple truth was, however, that when the moon was high, she was drawn to be active. Studies had been done on mortals, testing their physiological connection to the sun... the testing of a theory. It was proven that they did indeed rest better, when sleeping at night, rather than during the day, and those who's schedules were reversed, due to work, or something of that nature, were not as well rested. Even if the same amount of sleep was held. Vivian was convinced that vampires were the same, only in the opposite standards. Vivian hadn't had a real adjusting time, when she was first changed. The black painted windows, thick with fabric, in the room where her sire had kept her, hid the time of day. So, she had had slipped into a sleeping pattern, that her body chose. Now, she was having to live by the clock once more.

Unless going out to the club, she kept her appearance simple. Minimal makeup, practical clothing, her hair usually allowed to fall as it wished. Besides, this might very well turn into a fly in the rain, so being completely dolled up wasn't exactly smart. Flying, it was strange to think about. Outside of a plane, or para-sailing, she had never been flying. There may have even been a moments hesitation, when the demon had invited her. For one, she didn't know him, at all. He could very well carry her up into the heavens, and see fit to splatter her to the ground. High enough, she was sure not even a vampire could survive a fall like that. But, that was half of the appeal, the risk of not knowing what could happen. Unlike most people, Vivian was prepared to take the blame for her own misjudgement, if it came to that. Yet, Max had seemed friendly enough on the net, new to school, and obviously wishing to meet new people. If things became ugly, she could always bite him.

After a shower, a blow dry, and change of clothes, she made her way down to the entrance of Halcyon. The sun had been down for a while now, so there was no reason to hesitate, and hang back longingly within the walls. As if meeting a stranger in the dark wasn't risky enough, the setting made it completely laughable. And she did in fact laugh, it was almost poetic. Shaking her head, she stepped out into the thick fog, the pointed toe boots she wore, sinking into the damp earth, as she walked. It was beautiful... there were never nights like this back home, so, she decided to enjoy it. If it rained, so be it, it was only water. So long has it hadn't been blessed, it wouldn't do them any harm. It would be impossible to see anyone approaching, so, she decided to rely on her ears to alter her to anyone, or anything approaching, as she waited for the shadow demon to join her.

Week Thirteen: Tuesday

Who: Aramil, and Vivian
Where: The archery range
When: Night
What: The unlikely friends head out for practice

"Fuck... I really wish I had my old finger tabs, these are too stiff. My brace is as well." Truth was, all of her new archery gear needed breaking in, and working. But, she didn't have much choice in the matter, seeing that most of her belongings, including her old bow, were in Ireland. Vivian liked to think that if she had, had them this whole time, she would have been practicing. Was it true though... no, probably not. Partying, and having a good time had been on her agenda a bit too much. Now, she was trying to regain a bit of that focus she had carried, before being turned. When your past became a hinderence, rather than just an excuse, it was time to get your shit in order, and move on. Hopefully she wouldn't be too horrid because of it. Being very out of practice could be blamed as well. Flexing her fingers, her eyes moved to Ari, as the two made their way down to the range. Thankfully he'd been there repeatedly, and knew where it was. She, on the other hand, didn't have a clue.

Having asked him to join her, she wondered if things would end peacefully. The two were always at odds, after sharing conversation, yet, it didn't prevent them from carrying on that strange friendship they had. She liked that about him, he didn't seem to hang onto little stupid grudges, as so many did. Really people, there were more important things to be concerned with. "Are you going to give me any pointers, Sunshine? Or will you just laugh at me, when I don't compare?" She asked, smirking, and adjusting her bow across her shoulder. His people lived by their skills with a bow, she didn't for a moment think that she could ever compare to him. Which had been one reason she asked, she was curious to see him in action.

If there was one thing she had taken in, it was that you should learn all you could from others, whether they knew it or not. No matter how much she observed him, it was very doubtful, that she would ever come close to his skill. Yet, it was still worth watching, wasn't it? Vivian had dressed for the night, red running shorts, trainers, and a black tank top. Her hair, which before break had been short, and blond, was now back to normal. Long, and that same dark brown. It seemed Dacia hadn't been fond of the cut, so Vivian had spent quite a bit of money at a stylist, to have the hair replaced. Her mission on that trip, had been to get back into the womans favor. So, she had done all she could, to do so. She preferred it this way as it was, felt more like herself. Thought it suited her better as well. Plus, being able to pull it up, out of the way was a God send. As it was tonight, in a high ponytail, at the top of her head.

Week Eight: Wednesday

Who: Henry, and Vivian
Where: Heaven & Hell
When: Night, obviously
What: A reunion of sorts.

Philosophy was proving to be rather interesting this week, as Professor Lazlofi seemed hell bent on complete torture. Well the rest of the class had seemed rather displeased with the discussion, because it seemed very few were actually prepared. Vivian had a degree in the subject, so there was no way in hell, she was going show up for class, not prepared. So, it might make her look like a bit of a suck up, but oh well. She respected Lazlofi, and ever since she had disappointed him, with an admittedly stupid absence, her focus had been more on point. So, outside of work the previous weekend, she had used that time to study. Manging to read through four books over the two days. It had made her feel rather lame on a whole, being a book worm, locked in her bedroom, but she had done enough partying the previous Thursday, to last her some time.

It had been a great success, she thought. If she simply judged by how many drinks were served, it was obvious. Plus, there had been plenty of fun to have. Good, interesting conversation with Jaida, and Wes' brothers... sneaking off with Thom, and having a rather nice snog in the back part of the shop. When it came down to it, she hadn't been able to bring herself to do anything more that simply fool around. Maybe she was developing some morals after all?

Or maybe it was because he was Wes' brother, and that was just really odd. They looked far too much a like in her opinion, even though Thom was less scruffy looking, and appeared to be quite a bit younger. They even sounded a like, and that was the last straw, that she simply could not cross. Jaida obviously had no issue with Alex being a related to the gnarly tattoo artist. After all, the ladies did not share a cab back to the school that night. Not that Vivian minded, it amused her to recall how surprised Alex had been towards Jaida's boldness. You had to love the girl, truly.

"There you are, love." She said, placing a vodka, blood mix on the bar for the fellow vampire. Work was always a nice get away from school. The atmosphere was one that she loved, and hell, she had even grown used to the odd sounds admitted by the patrons of Hell. In fact, it wouldn't be the same without them. Her uniform for work, usually consisted of darkly colored clothing. High waisted black trousers, a white wife beater tucked into them, her black bra visible beneath it, and black heels were used to complete the outfit. Her short hair, which was starting to grow out, was parted, and gelled down, causing her striking pale features to stand out that much more. She gave a small wave to another passing employees, before a woman approached the bar, ordering up a simple drink. "No problem." It was then, that she went back to work, her hips moving lightly to the music. It was hard to ignore the good music.

Week Seven: Thursday

Who: Everyone who received an invite, and their guest (Check Wes' page, if you're not sure about an invite.)
Where: Gun Smoke Tattoo
When: Thursday Night
What: Shop Warming party, and small gig

There was a goal here. After living in Vegas, having been to so many bitchin' parties, your standards for them rose. The normal, punch, and cookies, with a shit ass dj, lurking in some corner, wouldn't cut it here. Hell no. The goal, was to make this party, just as fucking killer, as any party he'd been to in Vegas. To make those parties jealous even. With the help of his friends, and brothers, it seemed as if that was going to happen. All the elements were in place, now it would be down to those in attendance, to make the most of it. Wes was sure of one thing, he was going to have an amazing time, there would be no stopping that.

The Spooks had been a huge help, in their time on the island. While Wes tended to his classes, they took care of setting up for the party. Doing little things here, and there. Anyone who came into the shop after that Monday, would notice that certain things were off. It was all in preparation. Now, it was ready, everything was good. A bar had been constructed against on the walls. Bottles, upon bottles were either stacked beneath it, or on the packing crate shelves they had built last Monday. Wes had been told that there was more than enough liquor... he was starting to question whether it was enough. Also available at the bar, one would find certain goodies upon request. That was one good thing, about knowing drug dealers. They made excellent party guest. Aside from the bar, another sofa had been added to the sitting area, similar to the one all ready occupying the space, but not nearly as detailed.
Let the fun begin. )

Week Four - Monday Night

Who: Aramil and Vivian
Where: Outside in the woods.
Why: Booze to be drunk
When: Monday Night after the Archery contest

The day had not gone at all like he had expected. Not one little bit. The contest had been organized, and he had been sure he knew how that would end. Instead, the arrogant little elf got himself knocked down a peg. He had been so certain that he would win that particular test, that the fact he didn’t took quite a bit of his breath away.

Aramil had been so certain that his elven heritage would trump out human magic any day. That the skill of his people would prove superior to any magic or skill by any other race, that he never even considered any other potential ending. The fact that he lost by the slimmest of margins most would have taken as proof of their ability. After all, it was pure skill versus supernaturally enhanced skill. But, Aramil had always been an arrogant elf, as others so often referred to him as.

After the contest, he disappeared. In that regard, he lived up to his people’s name as well. He lost himself to the woods, and to nature and the world his people were the guardians of. The deer would be lucky that evening in that he was not out hunting at all. In fact, this one time, he left his bow back at the school and only had minimal weapons. For the first time since he had gotten to the school, he was out in the woods with just the knives in his boots. No sword, no bow, nothing else.

Not that he could remain in hiding for long. He had, after all, made plans for that evening. Plans that were entirely his idea, and not ones he could just ignore. They were a matter of honor, after all. His father had told him he needed to learn to be more tolerant, and the evening plans were part of that. Though, considering his planned partner of the evening, his father might have just objected over that.

When Vivian finally arrived at the location he told her to meet him at, she would find him reclining. Not on the ground, but instead in the trees above. A good couple of feet above anyone’s head, Ari had found a nice solid branch, and leaned back against the trunk of the tree. While he looked to be at peace, his mind was most definitely racing still.

Week Four: Wednesday

Who: Jaida, Wes, and Vivian
Where: Gun Smoke Tattoo
When: Wednesday Night
What: Girls getting inked

They had his attention, the moment he had heard the Indian pull onto the street. The purr of the bike was distinct, and not easily forgotten. If Wes had been a bike man, he'd have an Indian. As it was, he was into classic cars, but sill, he could appreciate a gorgeous bike. With a baseball hat upon his head, a rolling stones t-shirt on his, and a smoking cigar between his fingers, he stood at the Parlor door, watching as the two rode up, and parked out front. He hadn't been expecting the riders to be women, that didn't mean his was disappointed though, far from it. With his brows raised, his hand curled around the door handle, and pushed it open. He nodded to the redhead, then the brunette, before allowing the door to close behind them. "That was sweet of your boyfriend... to let you borrow his bike." Wes grinned for a moment.

"Fuck off. You're real funny... my boyfriends bike." Shaking her head with a laugh, Vivian looked from Wes, to Jaida. "He's hilarious." Giving the man a playful glare once more, she moved into the shop, her dark eyes searching the front room, taking in everything there was to see. The blood red walls were all together too appealing, as was the art which lined it. "You have a very nice place here, Wes, right?" She questioned, and when he nodded, she went on. "This sexy creature, is Jaida, and I'm Vivian. We've come to be your canvas. Or, I have at least." Vivian had two tattoos in mind. Getting just one, wouldn't be enough, and she all ready knew it.

"Ladies... You couldn't be ugly, could you?" He'd had to give a lot of 30% discounts that week. Wes hadn't been expecting so many beautiful women to be on the island. "I can't lie, and say the two of you, aren't good looking, so you'll get the discount." He wasn't about to really complain though. He'd have the image of two straddling the bike in his mind, for the rest of the night... Yeah, he felt like a creepy old demon now. "What did you have in mind? Tonight is empty, so I'm at your disposal. For anything... not just ink, so you know." He had to flirt a bit, he couldn't help it. As Vivian pulled a folded piece of paper from her blue jeans pocket, Wes took a step forward, leaning down to read whatever might be written upon it. "Off, off, eely tentacle. There is nothing between us.... Plath, eh? Harsh words, hating on someone?"

"Very good, I'm impressed. Maybe, a little. It's more a reminder to myself." Words to help remind her, that she belonged to no one, that she was her own person. It felt right that she should have such words cemented upon her skin. Especially everything that had happened recently. "I'd like for it to be on the back of my neck. As for the other..." Her hands fell to the front of her jeans. "Here, just below the underwear line." Vivian was sure he had placed tattoo in stranger places, so surly he wouldn't mind this time around. "You should feel rather special, you'll be the first man to touch my knickers in quite some time." Giving him a wink, she grinned.

He let slip by the slightest laugh, obviously amused by the banter. "I'm glowing with honor." His attention turned to the redhead. "How about you Jaida? Looking to be tortured?"

Week Three: Sunday

Who: Charlie, and Vivian
Where: Heaven & Hell, in Hell.
When: Evening, of course.
What: Vivian being a generous friend.
Rating: We'll see.

Usually, people avoided venturing into work, when they weren't scheduled to be there. Vivian had discovered, that working in Hell, was a far stretch from your average bar gig. The people were cool as fuck, and Vale was quickly becoming her favorite boss. Aside from Thursday, which had been happily spent on her bike, with Jaida, she'd slipped in every night that week, to do a bit more training with the specialized drinks. There were now two, which she could make with relative ease, but still quite a few more, which needed work. Tonight, however, there was no work. After greeting a few people, including Vale, she had made her way to the bar, ordered a drink, which had been drained soon after.

Bourbon didn't have the kick it once did, but the taste was enough to hold her interest. Besides, she had other goodies to give her the high that she so loved. The dance floor then became her home. The three lines of fae blood coke, coursing through her system was her primary drive at the moment. She hadn't set out of one song, nor did she have a desire to. Especially when there were so many good looking dancing partners to enjoy. Me, woman, so long as they could move, she was pressed up against them, her body moving in time with the music.

This wasn't just an average outing though. There was a reason she was here, all though it seemed forgotten at the moment, that was not the case at all. A gift was to be given, that how it had been planned out. Charlie had a bag of her new favorite treat, with his name on it, waiting for him. So, instead of a casual exchange, they had decided to make a night of it. Why not? With the shit week she had, had, Vivian deserved fun. Jaida had again proven to be an oh so worthy partner, on their little night ride. Though, sex on her bike had been a bit awkward, and left the two laughing, when falling off was threatened, it had been well worth it. Aside from the sexual aspect, it seemed the two were becoming good friends. Sex was just a plus.

Hopefully Charlie would be equally fun. He seemed to have it in him, and tonight would undoubtedly be the test. Until he arrived, the demon she was dancing with, would be entertaining enough. Vivian couldn't even bring herself to mind the clutching hands he'd placed on her ass, his claws however, that was a bit questionable. Though, the denim of her blue jeans seemed to be protecting her thus far.

Week Two: Friday

Who: Vale, and Vivian
Where: Heaven and Hell.
When: Friday night.
What: Vivian is seeking employment.

Only a week had passed, but everything seemed to be finally falling back into a livable rhythm for her. The months... hell, it had almost been a year, spent with Henry, had felt as if someone placed a pause on her life. Vivian had been living in his life, doing as he said, doing what he wished to do. It had truly felt as if she were his pet. At the time, she believed that's what was expected of a childe, to their sire. She hadn't known better, but now she did. There were so many vampires here, who had not had their sire there, immediately, to take hold of them. To control them, as they saw fit. Yes, one might feel a bond with their sire, but that connection did not have to determine how you spent time with them.

Some, it seemed, loved their sires. Wished to be with them, even. Others had placed a great amount of distance between them, and their sire. Vivian now wished to do the same with Henry. He had certainly chosen the wrong women, to have, and control. That was not a role, which she would fall into willingly. Yet, she was terrified of him. He had always seemed to anticipate her every move, doing things to prevent her, before she even came about to do them. When they saw each other again, would he still have the upper hand?

As long as she remained at the school, she had some sort of say over how things happened. Her writing had picked up once more, and she was even in talks to publish a novel. Not poems, not short stories, but a true novel. Twelve chapters had all ready been completed, and yet there was still so much story to be told. Gregory, the man she had been dealing with at the company, for over ten years now, was wiry of taking on this type of story. He claimed that no one would be interested in this sort of story, written by a woman. She had to remind him of the hugely popular series, written by Anne Rice. Yes, she hadn't made a cent off her vampire books, had she?

Vivian was determined. The money wasn't an attraction, nor the prospect of popularity. She wouldn't even be able to attach her true name to the book. Knowing that if there was some sort of success associated with them, that she could not afford to have people come looking for her. V.R. Bladen would be the one to receive any sort of praise, that came from the book. A book of her experience with the super natural world. It was almost therapeutic, to revisit those moments through her writing. Even though many proved to be gruesome, and quite disturbing. Though, she felt she understood herself much better now. She'd been a wild bird, caged, and now was her chance to take flight.

Hopefully, by this time next week, she would be riding her bike to the club, as the new tender. Rather than taking a taxi, as a patron. Vivian was fairly confident that she had the skill required for the job. She'd been a bar tender, off, and on for over four years. Though the Dood Perd (Dead Horse), back home, was a bit different from Heaven and Hell. A club was a club though. Just as a pub, was a pub. People always gathered for the same reason, and carried the same expectations of what would take place within the building. Vivian decided that visiting Hell right off, would likely be her best bet, at finding the owner. Razvan, she believed his name to be.

After asking one of the employee's, whether he was present or not, it seemed he was. So, she asked the man to give Razvan the heads up, that she was looking for him. She'd look for him in return though. Vivian began to search the crowd. This wouldn't be the type of meeting, were you set up an appointment. He didn't seem the kind to use an office, for anything that didn't involve truly explicit acts. The kind you didn't do out in the open. Though here, she imagined that the list was rather short. Something she could appreciate.

Week Two: Tuesday

Who: Vivian, and Open (If no takers, a Narrative.)
When: Tuesday early evening.
Where: The Halls of Halcyon, and where ever else.
What: Vivian forgoes her nightly run, so that she can make a phone call.

"I'm well aware, that it has been over ten years. That does not negate the fact that what I sent you, makes my old writing read like a pile of steaming shit, Gregory." Publishers, could be so ruddy annoying at times. "I've been writing like m--- What do you mean, it's too masculine? What would you have me write about, Gregory? Flowers, birds, and a woman's struggle in this world? No, fucking thank you. Those themes are overly played out, and I can't write like that any more." Vivian held the small, silver mobile to her ear, as her feet carried her along the school corridors. "What I sent you is fucking brilliant, and you know it. You're just annoyed that I wouldn't allow your company to package me, when I was younger."

"No, I refuse to change a word of it, something else would have to be done, or I'll fish it to someone else." It would be immensely difficult to try, and arrange a publishing deal, with an entirely new firm, while remaining at the school. Gregory's company, was her only hope, until she was able to complete her education her. If he couldn't adjust, she would simply have to wait. There was an issue with waiting. The longer one held off, on placing one's art for the world to see, the more chance it gave the artist to rip it to pieces. What she thought was good now, might not look at good on a bad day. It was difficult to remember that you weren't writing to yourself alone. These words were meant for other to see.

"What if we published it, under the name V. Roth, or V.Q. Roth? We wouldn't have to include a back cover photo, she they wouldn't immediately register, that it was a woman author.... No, it wouldn't be held in the same sort of section. As you said, the stories are much darker, as are the poems." Gregory was worried that people would not buy a such a dark, and overtly sexual book, if they knew a woman had written it. Why was it, that men would write pornography, and no one batted an eye, but if a woman were to do the same, she might as well stitch a scarlet letter to her chest? "What if I sent you the next chapter, once I've completed it, and from that you could give me a better word?" The story was still missing bits, and pieces. Little details that wouldn't seem to fit, no matter how she might try.

How does one write a story about vampires, without mentioning, that they are vampires? "No, I wouldn't be able to come in person. I'm-- on a much needed holiday. You might say that I lost a bit of my mind, when everyone was killed.... Thank you, my mother was always quite fond of you too." Sisi had hated the son of a bitch. At a time like this, when business was trying to be conducted, honesty such as this, was not permitted. "I've need this time to get back on track, so that'll be able to actual function... so there will be no in person meetings, or promotion." It wouldn't be sold to a large enough audience for that anyway. There was no need to arrange book signings, and all that bull shit.

Vivian came to rest, just to the side of one of the windows. There was still a hint of sunlight, making it's way down the horizon. Leaving the sky, in a bright orange, and pink mesh. It was breath taking. "When? I can work on it, very soon, and hopefully have it completed, by the end of the week. If you wish to have it so soon." He didn't want her to rush, he seemed willing to work with her once more, but he didn't want to piece to be compromised by time. "Very well... I'll take my time, so that it's perfect. You won't be able to resist the story, I promise you, it becomes far more interesting." Almost everything was set out, in her mind. It was just remaining, that she transform it into type. Something that she, and others would be able to read, and decide on. "Thank you, Gregory. I'll be in touch soon."

A hand fell, as she extinguished the call, slipping the mobile, into the pocket of her jeans. What would Henry think, if he knew he was to become a character in her story? A character, with whom she could do as she liked. Perhaps she would have her revenge, her peace... his death. If she could not escape his coil in this life, maybe she could in page. Justice... in the pages.

Week One: Saturday, April 6th, 2007

Who: Charlie and Ada (and anyone else who wants to join!)
When: Saturday night
Where: Heaven

Charlie was a bit disappointed that he and Ada were sent upstairs to perform. Their shit apparently wasn't 'hard' enough to earn them a billing in the basement (which was where the better party was clearly located). Eh, he still planned to head downstairs later. Hell was a far better venue, and he'd take it over Heaven any day (unless we're talking about the REAL heaven and hell, because then he would much rather ascend). Regardless, he, Ada and Suoh would rock out and give the kids a good show.

He was excited and a little nervous about performing tonight. It hadn't been that long since his last gig, but that last performance with Torque was the night he met Val and became a vampire. He couldn't get the bitey bitch out of his thoughts as he and and the others did a mini sound check just before the show. They'd not had much practice, but Charlie was confident they'd play great. He'd learned all of Ada's songs, and she'd learned his. And Suoh, a crazy ass Japanese man who didn't seem to speak much English, was some sort of musical savant. That fucker picked up all the songs in a matter of hours!

They were going to play a set of six tonight. Three of Ada's songs (Gunpowder and Lead, Kerosene, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and three of Charlie's (Stay Another Night, Vice, and In The City). It hadn't been hard at all to pick the songs. Clearly, Ada was still bitter about the douche she was rebounding from, because her song choices were filled with all sorts of just-got-dumped anger. Charlie felt they would get the audience geared up. Ada's songs had that country flavor, but they had a hardness and rawness that got his attention, and he was sure others would enjoy as well. Charlie's music was straight rock, and he planned to actually sing lead on them. Back home, he left most of the singing to Lewis, but Charlie had a good voice, and the songs were more geared to a man's sound. Besides, he wrote the fucking songs, he should be singing them! Hopefully, it would help him score some quality tail after the performance.

Just before going on stage, Charlie did two quick lines of blow. He wanted a bit more, but he couldn't afford to lose his head. He was worried Val was in the audience, and if he saw her, he planned to give her a piece of his mind. Fuck the whole 'not hitting women' thing. That really only applied to ladies, and Val was no lady! The Bitey Bitch needed to get her ass handed to her, and Charlie felt up to the task.

But, he tried to put thoughts of her aside as he looked to Ada and Suoh. With a nod, Suoh counted them in, and soon enough, Charlie and Ada joined in on guitar and bass. The sound was good, really good. Amazing that three people with such limited experience playing together could rock out like that, but they did, and Charlie felt all his problems melt away. As the three played their intros... Ada addressed the crowd, giving credit where credit was due, to the man who done her wrong, "This song's for any of you girls out there who've ever been mistreated by a man..." And so it began. The girl had serious chops, and she owned the stage when she was on it. She wasn't the most stunning woman upon first glance, but it was hard to take your eyes off her when she performed. Charlie joined in as backup, and it wasn't long until the crowd started to get into it.

Week One: Saturday

When: Night
Where: Club Hell
Who: Vale and anyone

Busy busy busy. Vale was a man that enjoyed the sin of sloth but as of late he’d rarely been able to truly indulge in it. With his dear brother gone Vale was rather left to running…everything. Neither snake brother really trusted too many hands being involved in their businesses and so often kept all management to themselves. This city, this club, was no exception to that. It was a job easier with two but manageable by one. Vale made it work of course but there were days where he simply had to brush it all aside. Saturday had been deemed such a day.

There was far too much to see and do for him to be trapped behind a desk pouring over paperwork. No…Vale was the hands on sort of manager. The kind that wanted to be right out in the crowds the club brought in. The sort that wished to give personal hellos to return guests and indulge in all that the club offered. Even as a business man the snake indulged always in all life had to give him.

Tonight was a very busy night for the club. Local bands always did draw interest though it really didn’t take much to give reason for all the schools students to rush down to the club come the weekend. Vale rather enjoyed the prospect of this night however; he was a man with a high interest in music. A love for the rumble that it caused to course through the ground. Vibrations felt and absorbed by the snake demon. More then that he enjoyed seeing what the youths of today could create. Some were set to rise to the stars and others…he had no idea how they thought their sound was anything near to music.

Both Heaven and Hell would be filled with live music tonight. Up above the sound was lighter, some might say popish in tone but it wasn’t really that. It was simply…easier to dance to. The sort of music young girls loved and men enjoyed only because they were all too eager to watch the woman move. Down below the music had to have a darker edge or it was left for the stage up above. Heavy metal, screaming vocals, or seductive natures to lure the crowd at their feet. Vale was not truly a picky man but he knew what fit with Hell and what did not. No sappy love songs or moaning about ones broken heart or lost car. Techno, peppy, country, light, jazz….those all took place in Heaven, not Vale’s sort of Hell.

The sorts that came into hell had to blend with leather and blood. Velvet and screams. The sorts that came into hell wanted something that they could bang their heads to or grind against their dance partner with. They wanted to try to feel it all like the snake could. And Vale did so aim to please…

During the day Vale had seen to business, both the club and his brothers own. Amusing really that a business Vale now ran was one he put so much of his own money into…but at the least he would know more then all others just how potent the product was. Yes he’d sample some of such before forgoing business and entering Hell a few hours after the sun had gone down and the second group was setting up the stage to perform.

He slithered through the crowd, kissing the cheeks of those he knew in passing, speaking faintly in the ear of workers to give orders or hints to what they should be doing. But it was not long before he was at his booth. Dressed in only leather pants and boots, accessorized always with woman who quickly curled at his side.

Week One: Tuesday

Who: Ari, and Vivian.
When: Night time, obviously.
Where: The castle grounds.
What: A very wet run.

She's so cold she's so cold. She's so cold cold cold. Like a tombstone.

Muted words passing through the coated wires in her headphones. Leading from the mp3 player strapped to her arm, just hidden beneath a light coat. Why ever the association with death, and frigid icy skin amused her, as much as it did, not even Vivian knew. The smile she wore, highly inappropriate. Especially given the conditions in which she had undertaken her nightly run in. It was freezing, and the constant splattering of rain only added to the undesirable conditions on the night. It wasn't something she could skip, it didn't matter what the weather was like. Each night, she had to leave the thick stone walls of Halcyon behind for an hour, if not more.

It was a reluctant prison, in a way. The teasing windows, which allowed her eyes to few the sun without consequence. After so many months, of only night, being able to see day once more, but not enjoy it, was torture. What she wouldn't give, to just be able to lay beneath the hot African sun, until her skin was darkly tanned, while the words of Simic, and Bly soared through her mind. Her own wishing that they could stand among the greats.

She could not leave those walls, not until the beloved star sunk below the horizon. Only then, was it safe to wander out, and she did. It could be considered a type of phobia, but being stuck inside for several hours at a time, made her rather nervous. The same phobia, which had kept her from welcoming death, when it's hand was wrapped so tightly around her throat. That fear of death, and rotting in a concrete box back home. Not even able to become something beautiful again, like a flower, or a plant. No, just rotting flesh incased hardened mud, and rock.

If Henry had found her only months before, she would have slipped into that sleep. There was a time when she was eager for it, she sought it out, and did everything in her power to bring it upon herself. Dacia had called her self destructive. That passion, she held, mixed with the lose of her family, had been far too much to handle. No one ever expects to lose both parents, and all siblings in one fucking night. That would royal mess up any sane person. Problem being, Vivian had never been conventionally stable. She had always been a bit wild, and carried a taste for trouble. Things which only seemed to heighten after their deaths.

Becoming a vampire had added to her recklessness. She despised what she had become, but denying that several of it's qualities were not extremely appealing, would be a bold faced lie.The more she learned about her own kind, the more her mind began to favor the idea. The more her mouth began to release thoughts which should be kept private. It would likely find her in trouble one day. Even now, she was all ready risking. Having made a "date" with a man... or so she assumed he was a man. A fellow vampire... whose name she did not know, nor had she ever seen. Having a couple of drinks couldn't be too bad, right? It's not as if she planned to take him back to her room... that all depended on how his ass looked in jeans.

Even she knew that was horrible, but still that smile stayed, her feet pounding the cold, damp earth. Ever fiber of clothing, and hair upon her head, soaked, but still she carried on. The air felt like daggers scrapping the inside of her lungs bloody, and raw. This pain, she enjoyed, it drove her that much more. Sooner, or later, it would become to much to bare, and she would have to stop. Then again, being a vampire did allow the body to take far more abuse, so it would be later, rather than sooner.
