Week Sixteen: Saturday

Who: Cissy and Starbuck
When: Saturday - throughout the day
Where: On the way to New York and in New York

The trip was going splendid so far. Cissy had done her best not to pack too much even though she was basically excluded from the whole maximum amount of bags thing and she was rather upbeat considering that she had not gotten nearly enough sleep and had been unable to sleep on the plane at all. Poor Starbuck hadn't gotten any sleep either because she had been talking and talking and talking and shoving her musical taste down his throat. Turns out it was quite eccentric. There was some modern music, mostly boy bands and a little Fergie, but her collection mostly consisted of classic rock, just as she had told him it would. Her three favorite songs of all time were on her I-Pod and she was certain to point them out as well.

They were, as follows, in no particular order:
The Allman Brothers Band - Midnight Rider
Blue Oyster Cult - Godzilla
The Cars - Just What I Needed

Cissy had been very excited to share this music with him and had been equally eager to hear what he had brought along as well. It was clear that she was a fan of music by the passion with which she spoke of it, and she told the whole story about how Massimo had raised her on this and that and how Xander had further expanded her knowledge of music when she had met him and how much of a part of her life it was and how she desperately wished that she could sing followed with horror stories of late night karaoke sessions in downtown Chicago and Brooklyn, New York.

Before she knew it, the trip was nearly over and there was still that one critical piece of information that she had left out because she dreaded his reaction. But it would be better to forewarn him than to have it hit him like a slap in the face, now, wouldn't it? She took a deep breath and then began to wring her hands together as she chewed on her lower lip and started in a small voice, "Starbuck.. I kinda have to tell you something before the plane lands.". She said it like there was a catch, and there was a catch, a big catch, though one she hoped he wouldn't mind too terribly bad.
