Travel by portal still isn't my favorite, but I have to admit these are some pretty sweet digs they've put us up in. The rooms are great, there's plenty to do and school has a nicer view than Tumbleweed. All in all, I have to say I'm a fan, even if I'm probably really, really fired from my job if we ever get back. A problem for another day, I think.

Nope. Universe-hopping, I'm done. I'm cooperating but let it be known, that I am so done. (Also, new world, hi, I'm Gwen and I'm usually not this annoyed at life.) Although I guess I should be thankful I landed on a cruise ship instead of in the water this time.

So this place is fun and all, but a few of us think patrols would be a good idea, just to stay on the cautious side. No one's seen anything worth panicking over, so this isn't a response to anything, but better safe than sorry. To keep people from doing the same thing and maybe bring everyone together, here's a sort of schedule of what people are wanting to do for night patrols.

Need a partner for night patrols. Dates and times are up in the air, but I'm thinking Monday to Thursday, from 1 AM to 4 AM. Let me know if you're interested or hit me up on Logan's post here. Volunteers for other times/nights are welcomed there too.

EDIT: So people were hella responsive. So I got a schedule sort of going and tried to filter to as many adults as possible capable of helping.

If you want to help, fill in where there are openings, yeah? More than two people to a slot is ideal. But remember, if you got school, try to grab an earlier shift or work weekends so you're not falling asleep in class. Cause I don't want to get yelled at by any teachers.

Stating the obvious aside: we've made another jump. Some of you remember (and would like to forget) the Prettiest Star space cruise ship. This one is on water this time. From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. Most of what I've seen seems familiar to cruise ships on Earth, but who knows so make sure you're careful until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

The hummingbird god is called Huitzilopochtli which sounds kind of familiar and he is a boy. They made human sacrifices to him because he was the god of war and the sun and he was always fighting the moon and stars and if he lost the world would end. It doesn't say if he'd get eaten though. In my dreams they said I would get eaten.

I am so sorry that I ever doubted there was a Santa. Never again! I've finally come out of my hole after watching all six films by Peter Jackson. This is a winter break well spent, in my opinion.

I also haven't worked out in a while and I got winded walking up stairs, so I should probably fix that.

I wasn't sure if I was going to go to the ball, but I already bought my dress. I can't sit and dwell on Dash's disappearance forever. I'm sure I'll see my family again though I certainly would prefer them arriving here rather than me leaving.

Besides with finals starting next week I really need a day where I don't think about my classes. I've studied so much this week my head might explode.

I need to move on from my crush on Peter. He's becoming such a good friend and I know he doesn't feel the same way about me. I don't want to complicate our friendship, the two of you are my best friends here.

It's super super super super hot. So I'm going to sit in Fortescue's the rest of the day eating HOLIDAY FLAVOUR ICE CREAM. The sugar plum fairy one is really good and you can mix it with peppermint but peppermint and gingerbread or peppermint and nutcracker don't really work as well. Gingerbread and nutcracker does though.

I'm out of quarantine but I think I have been kidnapped by some good looking yet weird circus guy.

Not complaining, he made me gingerbread. But those that wanted to have a chat with me now that I'm out might have to book an appointment through him.

People are brought to Tumbleweed, and people disappear - I haven't been here that long, but it's not difficult to see the flickering nature of our situation. We are sojourners temporarily thrown together, it's ridiculous to grieve.

Hey. So we're doing Friendsgiving on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at casa Bat-fam. (Please check with Dick Grayson about the address, because I realize there are multiple Bat-fam houses.) We're gonna aim for people to start coming over at three. I'll be there earlier to cook, obvs. Feel free to bring a friend or two with you if you want.

Here are the rules: everybody who comes needs to bring something so that there's enough for everybody, whether that's food, drinks, entertainment, etc. You can buy or make stuff, I'm not super picky. It's gonna be a chill atmosphere, so dress however you want. I'm def wearing jeans.

We're gonna have some vegetarian options but plenty of meat. Let me know if you have dietary stuff a cook should know about.

So does anybody watch Star Trek: Discovery? Because I'm trying really hard to figure out whether I like it or not and talking it out always helps with these things. Like the show's definitely not terrible and there are a lot of things I like about it. Like all the pieces are good - the characters, the ship. Not super thrilled about when it's set, but I can deal with it. But the plots are a little... idk. And what they've done to the Klingons, I'm not super into. So half the time I dig it and half the time it's like, show can you chill for just a second?
