I'm halfway through the great 2020 Kevin Bacon watch. Of what I've seen so far, got to say, Tremors has been the most fun. There's been some duds, of course, and I think I can firmly say I'll never be watching Hollow Man again, but all and all? Been an enjoyable start to the year.

Anyone got a suggestion for which I should do next? No real rhyme or reason to how I've been picking my choices thus far. I've mostly been going off the cover art.

Personally? I'm eying R.I.P.D. Seems a nice tone shift after Stir of Echoes.

Two weeks late, but I just wanted to thank everyone again for coming to the grand opening of Satyrs. For any future events, Satyrs will be private parties or even catering. We're open everyday for a meal starting at 10AM, then a break mid afternoon (3PM to 5PM), between lunch and dinner, and then we'll be open till midnight on Thursdays to Saturday, and till 11PM on Sundays to Wednesdays.

And you know what? I just realized the awkwardness of naming the restaurant Satyrs and having it open in the month of January because it was around this time last month that I remember actually BEING a satyr on another island. Haha, I told myself I would never think about that time again and yet. YET.

I swear to god there is no magic like that on the restaurant.

Just in case anyone likes listening to stuff while they sleep, I highly recommend lofi on YouTube. I wanted to listen to something while I relaxed and fell asleep for an hour, so clearly it works.

On the upside, Stella and I had an amazing nap.

On the downside, I completely forgot what I was going to do this afternoon. I'm sure if it was that important I'll remember eventually.

It's Tuesday and we all know what that means! I'm on the hunt for delicious tacos.

Last year we did a phenomenal job with not only the Calendar to help out the animal shelter but with the auction last February. Each of the events really helped supply them with money to help with the upkeep of the place, buying supplies for the animals, and helping out with medications and other medical needs.

So we need to keep it up!

I think helping out twice a year is a good amount and would like to keep it up. But I need to know, do you guys want to do the same events each year or do we want to mix it up?

I got a decent amount of money from the portal for Christmas, and managed to get some really good photography equipment. I'm going to start doing freelance photography work on the side. So, if anyone needs any pictures taken for anything, weddings, modeling, engagements, baby photos, or anything else you can think of, keep me in mind. I turned one of the spare rooms where I live into a makeshift studio, but I can do on location shoots as well. Rates are debatable. I can provide samples if needed.

I was really banking on Santa Portal for enough money to live on so I could focus on my studies and what-not. I got some, but not as much as I hoped. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to get a job, again.

While I appreciate the faux snow setup in Phoenix Park, any interest in turning one of the other parks into a literal snowglobe? The 60 degree weather is apparently putting a crimp in my kid's holiday cheer, and I'm inclined to do something about it. I'm sure the locals won't mind. Been awhile since the town had a gas leak anyway.

Well, my turn to show up in a Hallmark movie. Strangely enough, I realized that of all works I starred in back home, I never did a Hallmark movie. General Christmas movie? Yes. I played Belle in one adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

Don't think I would have acted in one though if anyone asked me, but at least now I suppose I have the experience indirectly!

It seems that despite my best efforts to stay as healthy as possible a cold has managed to sneak in uninvited. It is most inconvenient at this time. There's far too much to do to worry about being sick. I simply don't have time for this.

I guess at least it seems to have just been for a day.

It is now close to Christmas, so be sure to be careful if you're putting up mistletoe in your homes. The Nargles are harmless, but things will tend to go missing if they make a home in your mistletoe. If you have anything you wish to keep safe, be sure to do so. They seem to like left shoes and little trinkets. In my experience.

This might be the most magnificient piece of television I've ever seen.

Before I tossed out the invites around Tumbleweed, I wanted to let you know first. I got the date for the opening of Satyrs and it's going to be on New Year's Eve! That's right, we're watching the ball drop too!

Thought I'd let you guys know way ahead of times before most of you end up making plans.

I'm gonna go ahead and say thanks right now, for putting up with my anxiety and self-doubt over this whole thing and for helping with everything, yes, even the taste-testing which was basically free food for you guys. Seriously, though, I appreciate all the help!

With Quidditch on hiatus until January, I'm going to open the pitch up on the weekends for community access the first three weekends of the month. I encourage you to come and visit. You can practice free flying, play a pick up match, or we could even try to organize a day of Quodpot if we get enough interested players.

All this being said, the Pitch will be closed for the winter holidays beginning on December 23rd. We will resume operation on January 6th.

And, for the month of December, if any interested party would like to try flying lessons but has been too afraid to up until now, we will have the first lesson be free to interested members.

Don't forget we are still recruiting for the community league and hope to see some bright new faces come January.

Yesterday, one of the members of the X-Men was at the Carnival grounds and aiding in the clean up of the area. While at the grounds, she used her powers publicly. The Military proceeded to arrest her and keep her in custody for a large portion of the day. From my understanding, they were holding her overnight and should be releasing her at some point today. This is the first incident we've seen where the Military has responded to an outward display of power in such a manner.

With this in mind, I think it is important that we try to keep a low profile. The majority of us have operated under the Statue of Secrecy before. I think it is best if we all go back to operating under that type of mindset, at least when we are out in public.

Petunia, you live with the other major type of Wizards, do you not? Would you mind telling them this information as well?
