It has come to our attention that school is mandatory for those under 17. School takes place from 9am-1pm Monday through Friday when the ship is at sea. Any student who does not attend classes will not be allowed to exit the ship when it is docked.

We've got access to the classrooms, teachers ready to go, and now just need to know which of you require school and which subjects you need covered.

Stating the obvious aside: we've made another jump. Some of you remember (and would like to forget) the Prettiest Star space cruise ship. This one is on water this time. From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. Most of what I've seen seems familiar to cruise ships on Earth, but who knows so make sure you're careful until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

So, I think the last time I shared a picture of my new dog, it was just to the other people that live with me, so technically, this would be the official Introduced On Social Media day for Shredder (yes, that's what I ended up naming him). Even though... I've had him for several weeks now and some people may have already seen him in person.

But, that's fine. Here, have a picture of him wearing a winter jacket he might not ever get to wear unless I take him to Jersey with me on a trip or something.

So, that pod thing. Who wants to make that happen again? Possibly with more elbow room and more comfortable seats?

That whole ordeal reminded me too much of New York City. Not my actual world's New York City but the city that I was in before this one, the same one that had people from other worlds show up in it who we thought were fictional and stuff. We even had sparkly versions of vampires and Box Ghost. Every once in a while, there was some huge thing that happened and some of us superheroes rallied but most of my time spent there was going to school and living a partially normal life.

Which is the super weird thing about memory updated that the universe likes to give you. You suddenly have all these moments and they are very much real and it's all about how your life was all crazy for several weeks in a row, and meanwhile, you've actually been chillin' in another universe for the past few years.

Anyway, good show, peeps. That teamwork was awesome, I've gotten so much inspiration for my fanfics from that!

I ache for a dull life.

Black social history was part of my Masters so I should be able to give a good overview of what shit's gonna be like in 1953. I'd say get a snack and a cup of tea, but I guess MREs and water will have to do.

Honestly, the best thing we can do is establish ourselves outside the town. We want to be considered separate and in charge of our own affairs. Even those of us who look acceptable aren't going to know the nuances of social conventions and suspicion of anyone different in a small rural town in Texas is going to be bad, especially with resources scarce. But we probably will have some contact with them, so anyone who's worried can come find me and I'll try to help you out. If anyone else specifically studied this time period it would be great if you could speak up too.


Apart from that I'm good for patrols, helping to build things, scouting, whatever. I might be able to do up a map of where the birds are finding water in the area, but I can't promise it will be helpful for this many people.

So, hi. My name is Daisy Johnson. But I hear a lot of you already know that because I've been here like, what? Two times. Most recently I was here for almost a year. This is what I've learned from the nice people who are asking me to stay in one place and wait out 'quarantine'. Which, okay.

This is real, right? This isn't the framework. If we were friends before, I hope we can be friends again. If we were not friends before, um. Blank slate?

Eid celebration in Dallas on Saturday was freaking fantastic. Thank you to those who helped Samirah and I get back and forth, like, almost every day of this month. It's over now, which makes it bittersweet, because it always feels great to mingle with people of my own culture during all the years that I'm away from my actual family, and so I don't want it to end... But also, Ramadan during the month of June is killer because longer days and I GET SO HANGRY.

At least the universe decided to take people out of here after the whole month, so not to ruin the festivities. Would have preferred it added more instead of taking. Ugh.

Back in the world I was in before this one, I was staying in NYC, and NYC has a super diverse population that it didn't take very long to find a community of my own culture among the city even if my main support system isn't here. Tumbleweed... is no NYC. So, if anyone wouldn't teleporting me every once in a while over to Dallas or Houston to get that cultural feel again, I swear, I'll feed you.

It's another awesome day in Texas. The humidity is stupid, I don't have a pool, everyone is talking about things and also not talking about things, plus people are roundly ignoring Good Vibrations right outside the town line.
