Jon sat at a lone round table near the front of the UCLA campus cafeteria with a psychology book open to his left, a can of Dr. Pepper and a half eaten ham sub in front of him while his hands dipped into a back of Doritos, popping one chip after another into his mouth, and his small Acer laptop to the left side of himself. He was spread out to get some homework attempted during his long lunch break before he headed off to his Algebra class that wasn't for another hour and a half. Being in a new town and a new school had proved difficult for Jon. He wasn't the hyper outgoing sort like his baby brother Ash, therefore, he'd not met anyone. Not even so much as chatted with a fellow student in class. It didn't bother him much. He had always been pretty much a loner growing up, more the responsible one with his father teaching him the ways of the pack before he was allowed to go away for school. If it weren't for Ash being with him, Jon would have certainly found the entire adventure lonely.

Giles had purposefully given everyone who wasn't absolutely needed (aka, all but one or two Slayers) the last few days off. God knew they all deserved to relax, mourn, whatever they needed to do. But now? It was time to get back to work. It was time to have a funeral for Ami, to give her friends and family the closure they deserved. It was time to help them all get back to life as they knew it before this all went down.

Giles had called each Watcher who currently had no Slayer. This included new arrivals and Watchers-in-Training. He let each of them know to meet him in the basement of the Sugar Shack, to discuss business. Giles had been talking to a rather... unique vampire, about a possible business venture that could finally give the new Council, and the training academy, a home of their own. But for now? The basement it was.

It was time, now. Time to assign Slayers to some, assignments to others. Time to let these Watchers jump in with both feet, and start to fulfill their destines.

Sitting at the large meeting table they'd had set up down there, Giles waited, patiently.

Who: Bella OT Anyone

Bella had been somewhat confined to Chloe's house for the past two days and although she was grateful, she just needed to get out. Chloe had been really sweet, and her sister Lucy and brother Kevin were just as nice, but right now, she just wanted some time to think. The Sugar Shack was the only other place she'd recognized, so here she had come.

She was sitting alone in a booth near the back, neither eating nor drinking because she didn't have any money, though she was sure Chloe would have said she could have anything she wanted. The girl really was amazingly kind. She was even letting her borrow her makeup and clothes, so Bella felt more…like herself. That was funny. She didn't even know who she was.

Well, that wasn't entirely true. She knew her name. She knew her parents' names. She knew she wasn't from this place, at least, not during this particular time. She knew she liked mushrooms, black olives, and pepperoni on her pizza. She knew that she could tell Armani Exchange from Emporio Armani with just a glance - and that that was just one more gift she possessed that not everyone else did. She knew she was allergic to strawberries, didn't particularly care for roses, and hated the smell of pine-scented cleaners. But she didn't know any of the big stuff, like where she'd come from, what her life had been like before this, or even why she was here.

It was confusing as hell and more than a little annoying, both of which contributed to the slight glower on her pretty face.

Where: The Basement of Chloe's Sugar Shack
When: Saturday Afternoon

Hope kicked the punching bag as she kept up with her new workout. She still wasn't sure if she was cut out for this whole 'Watcher' type thing. She wasn't a fighter. Of course, she wasn't really a lover, either. No, she was more of an artist. She still hoped to actually do something with that. She had been told by her professors that she was really, really good.

She wasn't going to be in the big fight coming up. Mr. Giles has said that she was still too green to everything going on. While those weren't his exact words, since he used a lot of words, but that's what he meant. She understood. She wasn't sure if she *wanted* to be in that fight. She didn't have a Slayer or anything like that, so she was feeling sort of useless right now, anyway.

Might as well work on her physical aspect of this. She was reading a lot of the books that Mr. Giles had loaned to her as well. She still couldn't believe that everything that she had been brought up to believe was fairy tales and stories was real. It was a lot to swallow. At least kicking and punching the bag was a good way to let off some of her frustration over all of this.
