Usually, Ally was working every night of the weekend. She tried to work on the nights that she would be more likely to make the most money. However, according to the boss, Meredith, she could only work either Friday or Saturday night so that all the girls could work at least one lucrative night. Just how things were. Sometimes new policies really sucked. Still, Ally could at least understand the theory behind it. She wondered why she had to listen to a nineteen year old, but the girl was their boss and, well, Ally made far too much money there when she worked to put up a fuss.

So, since she couldn't be at work, instead of sitting at home, Ally decided to actually go out for the night. She hated to part with money that she had earned on her own (although she was very willing to spend someone else's money freely), but figured, with what she was pulling at Saints and Sinners, she had earned herself a treat. Right now she was sitting at the bar, enjoying a mojito, and basking in the ambiance of the place.

She probably would have been a really awful person if she didn't have some sympathy for the people involved with what was going on right now. No matter what way you looked at it, Ben was Pat's friend and Patience could respect that. She didn't have to respect Ben, but she could respect the bonds of friendship between the men. It wasn't even that she hated Ben. She was just…really, really angry at him for helping to hurt her best friend. Had she ever thought about killing him? Maybe. Once or twice. And Skylar too. But Patience wasn't stupid. If she wanted to hurt Skylar, she was going to have to go through different channels besides simple brute force. Unfortunately, the bitch had that all over her.

But that wasn't even really what she was thinking about right now. She'd shown up to work at Avarice because she wasn't sure what state the club would be in. She knew Ben's brother and sister had taken over management, but the place still had a lot to do with Ben. The people knew Ben. Before he'd decided to devote his time to his titty bar, there was barely a night you wouldn't have seen him prowling the place for something young and tight.

So she could at least help out by actually showing up for work, right?

"Hey, CJ!" she called down the length of the bar as she poured a drink for the guy across from her. Sliding it to him with a smile, she leaned forward, the strategically shredded silk of her blouse giving him a clear shot down her top as she plucked the tip from his fingers and blew him a kiss. "We get in a new shipment of Hennessy? I'm almost out and I didn't see another on the shelf."

While Ben was mostly focused on all of the upcoming battles, and the violence he knew would accompany them... he also knew his friends and family needed to relax. Unwind. Just forget their problems and have some fun. So, On the spur of the moment, he'd set this little event up. Hair Metal Night at Avarice. Nothing but fun 80s rock, with drink discounts for anyone dressed in era-appropriate clothing.

As usual, he took up his residence at his personal table, in the back of the club, mostly dressed the same as usual, except for the presence of a vintage Motley Crue t-shirt. Let the people he cared about have some fun... God knew they deserved it.

Seeing Lilah again after so long had knocked a gear out of the well oiled machine, he thought he had become since retiring from his previous occupation. But like a well placed punch to the solar plexus, the lawyer had doubled him over in serious doubts.

On his way to work, Nathaniel stopped at Jolt! to grab a cup of coffee and make some last minute changes to his lesson plans for the day. However, when he took his seat outside, his lesson plans lay untouched along with his coffee as he stared at both darkly. The former assassin hated to admit it, but Lilah might be right. For one, he didn't like being unarmed on school days. He felt exposed and until school let out for the day and he was back in his apartment, any pissed off of relative of a mark who was tenacious enough could take him out.

Then another thought occurred to him: How was it that a woman could just knock the confidence right out of a man? The world may never know.

A young woman of only 24, Carolyn Janine "CJ" Swinton had been bartending since she was 19. She knew the profession inside and out, and had spent the last two years tending at several hot spots on the Sunset Strip. But when she recieved a call from Bretton Bale, saying that he'd looked at her resume and wanted her to come interview for a full-time bartending position at Avarice, she nearly flipped. For once, a bartending job that actually offered full benefits and all the trimmings of a 'real' job!

After interviewing with Bretton, she was given the job on the spot, with the condition that she could start tonight. Seems the bartender scheduled for tonight (Bretton's girlfriend, fiancee, whatever she was), was about to recieve a surprise night off, as Bretton wanted to take her to a romantic dinner and a movie. Considering that CJ was a sucker for romance, after letting out an uncharacteristic 'aww!', she quickly agreed, and hurried home to prepare.

So now, here she was, 7pm, and people were pouring into the club. CJ was decked out in one of her outfits she knew always got her wicked tips (skintight leather pants, a low-cut, cleavage-baring white tee-shirt, and light brown cowboy hat), and stood behind the bar, waiting to get her first orders...
