BtVS: Alternate Lives

Hey guys, your resident Jess mod here. I'm starting a new game on IJ as well, based in the novel World War Z. I'd love for all of you to join me at it as well! For those that haven't read the book, it's about the zombie apocalypse and how people survive it. It takes place in the fictional town of Verde, LA. You can either adapt a character that you've played before for it, or create a whole new one. You guys will not need to fill out a write sample listed on the application, as I know that you are all wonderful writers. All I would need you guys to do is talk to me about your character, and fill out the base parts (no writing sample) for your profile to that other players know who your character is. I hope that you all join me!

Verde, Louisiana is your typical southern town. The citizens are friendly and enjoy welcoming new people to their town. Things aren't perfect, but the towns people like their little slice of life, and tend to think that nothing will go wrong.

However, there is trouble brewing in the outside world. There are reports that a nasty disease called "African Rabies" has had a few reported cases in the United States after making the world news during its spread of South Africa. Phalanx, the purported miracle vaccine, is expensive and supplies run out quickly (plus, you have to drive all the way to New Orleans just in hopes of getting it). No one is even 100% sure that it works.

World War Z is an RPG based around the book of the same name. The game will take you through the experiences of the war, from beginning to end. Will you survive? Apply and find out!

My goal is for this is to have enough non-canon aspects so anyone can join. Players interested in creating/playing vampire or werewolf characters would need to know the mythology of either species within the Twilight world. That can easily be done by doing an internet search or wiki search. Basically, if you're interested in vampires and werewolves, just submit your character ideas to me and we'll go from there. :) While I'm not a rabid fan or anything, I did enjoy the trilogy (I have yet to read the fourth book, so no spoilers, please!). I, of course, got to thinking about other alternate aspects of the settings and whatnot for an RPG. Some things that I have in mind are: Several vampire & werewolf families. Said families would have some kind of feud/rivalry going on. Instead of a town in Washington state, I thought it would be interesting to put the setting on an island off the coast of Washington state. Humans populate most of the island. They are unaware that werewolves and vampires live among them, but they are aware of the feud/rivalry. I want to incorporate vampire and werewolf hunters somehow. Right now there is no main plot. I figure one could develop based on the underlying feud/rivalry. ADDED: Something I forgot to mention! Although this is an Original Character game, by no means does it mean that you can't play a canon character if you really want to. Think of Forks Island as an AU. Maybe you want to play Edward a little darker than he's portrayed in the books, or maybe there was a character that you wanted to see more often in them and didn't. Well, now is your chance to bring them to the forefront! If you have questions or, better yet, ideas please contact me a-sap. :D
