Who: Satsu and Dot
Where: Casa De Ezaki, Japaaaaan
When: Wednesday evening

Satsu grumbled to herself again. She was in she and Dot's room, trying to pack everything she could think of into a few only moderately big bags. Her parents were yelling in Japanese, not wanting her to go back to America already. The sun has charred the other side of the world and come back to us )

An afterschool picnic

Who: Satsu, OT Dot, Angie, and Hiroshi
Where: A small park next to Asuhara High (Tokyo, JP)
When: Thursday afternoon

While the idea of going to a high school in Japan that combined the cultures of Japan AND America was still making her mind reel a little, Satsu had at least grown accustomed enough to Asuhara High to start making friends rather than just hanging constantly with Dot and being rude to everyone else. With this newfound social status in mind, she left notes with Dot and their two new friends, Angie and Hiroshi, to meet in the park after school for a little picnic: a chance to have some food, enjoy the scenery, and just relax a bit after school.

Wearing a plaid miniskirt with black combat boots and a Supergirl tee, Satsu sat languidly on a blanket in the grass, waiting for the others to arrive...

Meanwhile, in the Land of The Rising Sun...

Who: Satsu, OT any characters in Japan
Where: Asuhara High School, Tokyo, JP
When: Monday morning

Asuhara High was quite a progressive school, actually. Geared toward the many American teens living in Japan, it was run in a way that combined the traditions of Japanese AND American High Schools. The primary language spoken was English, but it also focused on trying to make sure the American teens learned to speak Japanese, slolwy but surely. A large number of Japanese teens went there as well, to acclimate to the English language in a natural, educational environment to prepare for moving to the country for one of many reasons.

Satsu actually spoke English already, and spoke it just as fluently as she did her native Japanese. Also, she wasn't sure when she'd be goign back to America. She actually transferred to Asuhara High so that she could accompany her girlfriend, Dot Champa. She knew that while Dot was enjoying her exchange-student status in Japan, that she'd be horribly awkward and nervous being alone in a school where, along with not knowing anyone, she would be subjected to many conversations where she had no clue what was being said.

Plus, this place had a dress-code much more akin to that in an American school. HELL. YES. Satsu could go, in Japan, to a school where she didn't have to dress like a castoff from Sailor Moon? Nuff said. So, walking to her locker in the morning, the slim Slayer was dressed in a knee-length black skirt, a Marilyn Manson tee, and a blue bandanna with a Watchmen pin on the side of it.

Time to see if anyone was walking around worth talking to this morning...

Everything changes, starting ....now.

Who: Dot/Satsu
Where: Satsu's family estate, in the back gardens. Japan.
When: Present Day, Present Time (the same day the Million-Slayer March is magically kicked off)
What: Some things end, other things start

Dot was still getting used to actually being here. She hadn't expected to ever be invited anywhere this exotic, let alone allowed to go by her parents. Yet, here she was! There was always something new to see, and she had the very best tour guide. Everything was, all in all, pretty wonderful. She would have loved to have her boys along, but it wasn't that sort of trip. They hadn't been invited, after all.
Not with a bang. )
