Andrew grabbed two sodas out of the fridge and headed back into his living room. His apartment wasn't much, but it wasn't in a completely terrible neighborhood, and it was clean and free of pests, so he didn't really care about much else. All of the furniture was second hand from a Goodwill, and his TV, while at least in color, was about the size of a shoebox, but at least it was a big shoebox! With his Watcher salary, he could technically afford something better, but he was actually saving his money for a later day.

He handed one of the sodas to Dawn. "So, you said that you had something to talk to me about?" he asked. She had said that she wanted to talk to him about something, but he didn't know what it was. It had sounded a little serious, though. Not like, scary serious, but serious just the same.

When: Wednesday afternoon, end of the school day.


Only a couple of months left of the school year. Brayden Bale wasn't exactly planning on spending the end of his senior year in 2001, but hey, you go with the punches, right? He'd managed to coast in popularity-wise, as his family name assured him instant pseudo-celeb status, and his good looks and cocky nature instantly solidified him with the popular crowd. He was basically just trying to finish out his classes, and score with as many of the hotter girls on campus as possible.

Which? Brings us to right now. Bray was preparing to hop in his car and head over to Avarice, when he paused by the lockers. A certain Junior that looked... oddly familiar to him caught his eye. Then it hit him. Well, well. Dawn Summers. Karissa's aunt. He looked her over, smirking to himself. In some ways? Hitting on her was horrible even for HIM. But he really couldn't help it... seeing her here, like this? Chick was a total BABE.

Waltzing over to her, he leaned against the lockers, giving her his most charming, lopsided grin, flexing his arm a little as he looked at her. "Hey... Dawn, right?"

Buffy woke up in a good mood today, so, after a morning workout on her own (she needed to either get Ash back to his Watcherly duty or get a new Watcher STAT, although she wasn't even sure she could work with a new guy after Ash), she took a quick shower and went into the kitchen to start putting together a breakfast for the household. Give her mom a break for once.

Luckily, Buffy had at least minor cooking skills. You didn't live with Joyce Summers and not pick up a few things. Besides, putting together pancakes was pretty easy as long as you followed the directions. So, not long after Buffy started, the tasty smell of pancakes began to waft through the Summers's home.

When: Sunday, February 28

It was Sunday night and Dawn had homework. Homework called for an extensive dose of sugar and caffeine, which was why she was sitting at a small table in the Sugar Shack with a very large mocha frappucino and papers and books everywhere. She was hoping that this time, she wouldn't be interrupted by wayward nieces from the future.

She wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to her surroundings.

Dawn had a big paper due on Monday. Given all the time she had missed by jetting off to Europe, it was important for her to get a good grade on this paper. She wasn't sure where Buffy was, but she was kind of glad her sister wasn't hovering.

The War of 1812 was boring and Dawn had no idea how it would ever be important in the future, but she didn't want to upset her mother by failing her senior year of high school.

Dawn hated the fact that she couldn't get much rest in the hospital. The nurses and doctors were constantly in and out of her room, checking her vitals, giving her meds and just generally annoying her.

She was also frustrated by the fact that there seemed to be some holes in her memory. It was troubling, to say the least.

Now that the big battle was over, Dawn was a little more relaxed and attempting to get out and be social. Especially since Buffy was acting so weird, not that she would tell Dawn what was going on.

This evening she had agreed to go out for milkshakes with Andrew and Cassie. It had been a long time since the three of them had hung out and she was actually looking forward to it.

Dawn needed a sugary caffeinated pick me up after her classes today, so she headed for the Sugar Shock and ordered the largest and chocolatiest frappucino on the menu.

She settled in to a corner table and opened one of the magic books she had picked up. Her conversation with Buffy the other night about Ash and his magic still had her feeling a little uneasy.

Hi! My name is Jen and I am joining the game as your new Dawn.

(Yes, I'm shameless and using Michelle flashing to get your attention ;) )

I've been RPing for four years now, primarily on LJ, and have played Dawn in a few other games. I'm excited to be joining you all and suspect that once I get up to speed, I'll be picking up more characters.

I know that Dawn has been around for a while and has some plotty history. Jess and Dan have been kind enough to fill me in on some of it, but to keep my brain from exploding, I am going to run a tiny plot where Dawn suffers some memory loss. I am totally willing to play with anyone who has had relationships with her in the past, but I'd like to start with a clean slate.

Dawn was glad to be home, that was for sure. And she'd missed Buffy, there was no doubt. But? She was still a little pissed right now. Ok... maybe more than a LITTLE. She and Buffy never hid anything from each other... so, the younger girl thought, how could the fact that Buffy's new Watcher just HAPPENED to be her ex-boyfriend, who once went crazy and tried to kill her best friend, just HAPPEN to slip her mind?

The worst part, in Dawn's mind, was that she only knew because Ash slipped up and told her at Avarice, thinking Buffy already HAD.

The younger Summers girl felt a little betrayed, and knew it was time to sit down and have a talk (or maybe screaming fit, who knew with these two) about this. Sitting on the couch on the living room, Dawn tapped her foot lightly, waiting for her sister to get home from wherever the hell she was.

For once, things were looking up for Ashton. He was learning to be a Watcher, and in doing so had, in his opinion, one hell of a Slayer in Buffy. He was dating an amazing girl in Lucy, and most importantly, he had his sister back somehow. He wasn;t sure how it happened, but Patience, the one person he always called his light in the darkness, was back.

So, for once, rather than sulking in a dark corner of Avarice, Ash decided to actually go to the bar, and enjoy his soda in actual view of other people. The music was good, and for once, he was happy.
