BtVS: Alternate Lives

Vikki after her talk with Charlotte had decided to try and focus on school things for a bit. So it was a typical Monday morning and she had decided to stop at the Sugar Shack for coffee on her way to school. She was in line when she noticed a familiar blonde that was towards the front of the line. She smiled and waved when Camile noticed her. She'd passed this girl everyday,but for whatever reason had never actually talked to her yet. Vikki ordered her coffee then went to a table that had two empty seats.

Where: Wolfram and Hart
When: 11/16 Morning

A while after her talk with Charlotte Vikki decided to take the woman's advice and let her parents do whatever the hell it was they were going to. School still bored her to tears,and all the boys her own age were stupid or otherwise unavailable sometimes both. Mostly boys her age just annoyed her, and she wasn't all that interested in making friends at school when she bothered to go that is. Her parents were both so wrapped up in work and their own lives that she didn't even think they noticed what she'd been up to lately. In fact the only adult she'd talked to besides her parents lately was Charlotte.

So when she heard that Wolfram and Hart had a a rolling internship program that took about the same amount of time as a high school education; only much more useful and a hell of a lot more interesting in Vikki's opinion, she went ahead and signed herself up. She'd waited restlessly for a few days in hopes of hearing back from what many still deemed 'the best Law Firm in the world'. She'd heard back last night and she'd set up a meeting with Holland Manners himself.

Today was the day Vikki was to meet with Mr. Manners, she was so excited she got up two hours early, showered, and put on her best Chanel black dress, matching stiletto pumps, did her make up, made sure her hair was perfect. She finished off her coiffed look with a spritz of Chanel number five and a Chanel purse and white trench coat.Once she was ready she hailed a cab to take her to the firm.

Resume in hand Vikki McDonald walked into the lobby of Wolfram and Hart like it was a red carpet premiere. She walked over to the front desk and flashed the woman behind the desk a smile. "Hi, I'm here to see Mr. Manners I'm his eleven o' clock." Vikki was thrilled that she might have a chance to learn from the same man that had recruited both of her parents,from what little she'd been able to research about the man he was apparently a legend by all accounts.

Where: Caritas
When: Oct. 1st, Evening

Charlotte had been thinking about coming to Caritas for a while now but for some reason or another, had always put it off. What if she didn't like what Lorne had to say? What if he said that she had no future? Or said she was a terrible singer? Still… she wanted something outside of work and desperately hoped that he'd point her in the right direction.

After a miserable twelve hour day at work she went home to shower and change (into a corset, heels and tight black jeans) and had dinner at a local Japanese restaurant, stuffing herself with ramen. She procrastinated over her meal, but went down to Caritas as soon as she could, least she change her mind. It was a surprisingly nice and cheerful environment, and she was immediately set at ease knowing that no one could hurt her here. She'd often worried about that when attempting social activities. She smiled politely to the bartender and ordered herself a Scotch before scanning the crowd.

Who: Charlotte OT Vikki
Where: Chloe's Sugar Shack
When: Sunday morning, August 1st

Everyone had their Sunday Rituals, which included buxom blonde's who work for law firms of a questionable nature. ... Or not so questionable in the case of Wolfram and Hart. In any case, Charlotte did her dry cleaning on Sunday's and while she waited, she went across the street to buy herself a coffee.

Instead of one of her usual ceavage-y suits, today she opted for a more casual look of: sneakers, blue jeans, a black dress shirt with black eyeshadow and shimmer lip balm. Even dressed down, she looked spectucular.

It seemed The Shack was busy today, so she had to wait a few moments before she could order. She contended herself with people watching, crystalline blue eyes going from person to person, as if trying to understand simple human interaction.

When: 5/28, Evening


After her near brush with being trapped in another time period Vikki was beyond happy to be back in the present. Now that she was though she wanted answers damn it! She still wasn't a hundred percent sure Lucie was telling the truth,and even if she was she still just wanted to be able to talk to her dad. Doing so always made her feel better no matter which time she was from.

After leaving school for the day Vikki went right to her father's apartment and walked right in,not bothering to check if he was home or alone. "Dad!"

When: 5/26, Evening

Vikki was really starting to like this place. In her future, she had been kept so busy that she hadn't really had time to go out to clubs all that much. Lindsey had helped her re-enroll in school (he didn't think it was a good idea for a girl her age to just run around all day and night with nothing to do), but she still wasn't involved in all of the activities that her mother had made her start, so she still had oh so much time to actually have to herself.

She had come here with a few girls from school, but now they were dancing with different guys, and, well, she just wasn't really into the 'goth' type. So, after turning some guy down for a dance, she had grabbed a table to herself and was sipping at her drink, some fruity concoction created especially for this club, but she hadn't caught the name of it. She had the weird feeling that she was being watched, but she tried to ignore it.

When: Tuesday Night, 4/13

The two of them meeting had actually taken a little while, and more than a little convincing on Lindsey's part that yes, he was serious, no, he wasn't kidding, and yes, now they had the greatness of having a future kid as well. From some form of future, it seemed, because their own time line had already went off track from when these kids had shown up from, it seemed. So, who knew if, in this reality, she would really be born.

Of course, it made a part of her just want to tempt that, since it wouldn't *actually* affect her at all. She probably shouldn't, though. Instead, she waited for her mother to show up for their set up meeting, stirring the straw around in her drink as she waited.

Where: Lindsey's Apartment
When: Saturday Night, Jan 30th

Lindsey had the circle drawn out on his floor. His landlord might get pissed because what he had drawn it out with was *not* going to come out with any sort of cleaner, but this was about something important to him, so he didn't give a damn if he lost his security deposit. Right now he needed to learn exactly how he needed to help Lilah prevent Death getting to her. What he was trying to do was see into the future to see how he had done it. Sort of cheating, and he might be wrong in thinking that he had done it, but, well, it was worth a try.

Something didn't go right, though. He felt it as soon as he finished the spell. It actually felt sort of like it spiked off of another spell being performed at the same time. Just his luck that someone else would be performing serious magic right exactly when he was doing the same. A bright light appeared in the center of his circle, which then flew out and slammed him in the chest, blasting him across the room.

He didn't black out, but it would have been nice since he had just gotten a serious punch to the chest. When he looked over at the circle, there was someone standing in the middle of it now. "Who the hell are you?" he asked, trying to sit up.
