I'm Still Here...

[info]btvsal
Who: Anita OT anyone
Where: Avarice
When: Tuesday, December 21st

Even though she'd met Catherine quite a while back now, Anita still dabbled with the idea of going to the Hyperion to meet other girls like her. If only to see how much she kicked ass compared to them. She smirked at the thought as she made her way into Avarice, scowling as a wristband was attached to her wrist (she really didn't like to be touched unless she wanted to be) before finally making her way inside, dressed in tight jeans and a tummy-bearing black corset with a blood-red trim and black Doc's.

Her living situation was a dream in that her father never noticed when she was home, let alone when she wasn't, which she fully intended to take advantage of as often as possible. She smirked as she made her way onto the dance floor just as the song changed over to 'Parade' by Garbage, and started dancing with wild abandon.

The return of Christina Elliot

Where: The Tree
Who: Tina OT Any
When: Saturday Afternoon

Tina hadn't been in this part of town in months. She'd spent most of the year making new friends and enemies, taking lessons from her older sister and trying to forget about any life she had in Sunnydale, friends that were now in LA, or playing the bass in a band.

Except, she now played the bass in a different band and had a new set of friends. A lot had changed with her, which was evident by the designer clothes, slightly different hair and different demeanor. There was also the tall, handsome young man that never went far from her.

Both of them browsed the bookstore, she looked for something on love spells and he causally walked up and down the aisles.

Fresher blood... OPEN

[info]gypsy_shift
[info]btvsal
Who: Freya, OPEN
When: School day, morning
Where: entrance hall, lobby, by the lockers

Freya sighed. She walked through the large double-doors, and was amazed at the mere size of the building.
"Wow..."

She found her way to the registration office, which took about 20 minutes due to gawking. She saw there was another girl in line, Goth.
She was about to say hi, but the girl was finished and left. Freya was next up, finished her business, found her classes and locker number.

Making her way to the locker, she saw.. a lot of people she didn't recognize.
And she was starting to get nervous. She practiced deep breathing with every step, until she found her locker.
She noticed she was down a set of lockers from an attractive blonde. Just a few inches shorter than her, wearing a black blouse and denim jeans. Her eyes were hard, like she'd seen more than enough pain and loss in her life. And she didn't seem very talkative. She'd noticed she saw her when she came through the doors, and their eyes met for an instant.

She tried her combination and... nothing.
"Dammit!" Great, her first day and she needs rescuing.

Meeting of Magics

[info]turn_to_ash
[info]btvsal
Who: Ash, OT Sam
Where: The Sugar Shack
When: Friday evening

Ash was feeling a little more hyped today than he had lately. Despite the state of how slowly his powers were coming back, and his occasional mood setbacks, today was a good day of training. Buffy was coming along wonderfully, and despite her somewhat late start, was getting to be one of the top learners now.

So now, after training was over, Ash stopped, as usual, at the coffee shop which they trained under, relaxing at a small table as he looked over the notes he'd taken while watching Buffy train, and sipped at the latte he'd grabbed.

Sugar High

[info]katastrophe
[info]btvsal
Who: Kat OT Any
Where: Chloe's Sugar Shack
When: Wednesday afternoon

Now that her suspension was over, Kat was trying her hardest to catch up on everything she'd missed. You never really realized how much material a teacher could cover in two weeks until you weren't around for two weeks. With her luck, she'd probably stay behind, especially given her attention span when it came to homework.

Trying to do it at the Sugar Shack didn't help, either. There were too many people around to watch, too many sounds, too much yummy stuff to distract her. She was already armed with a plate of cookies and a large Sugar Fairy Shooter, but every time someone walked by with something different, she had to make a mental note to try that next time.

Since she wasn't concentrating on her homework, she knew – logically – that she should probably be working out or something. Anything to do with training, but she was trying to keep cool around Harrison. Actually, truth was, she was still pissed off at the world about that. She hoped he knew it, too. Maybe he could play with his cards and figure it out.

With a disgruntled sigh, Kat sunk down deeper into her seat and tried to return her attention to her Geometry homework. Like she really cared how to figure out an arc segment area.

WHO: Sam, OT Chloe
WHEN: Wednesday night
WHERE: Chloe's Sugar Shack

The cafe was empty except for Sam, Nica and Chloe. Sam was catching a ride home with Nica and had just finished a hot chocolate. She knew if she had anything stronger, she'd be up all night, and there were still two days left until the weekend.

She made sure nobody was watching and she bit her lip, focusing her effort on the sugar dispenser in the middle of the table. It was amazing how heavy things were when you weren't lifting them with your hands. It wobbled slightly, then rose up a centimeter, then another.

Sam smiled, coaxing the glass dispenser a little higher.

Friday night geekery

[info]sister_sam
[info]btvsal
WHO: Samantha Greene, OT all
WHEN: Friday night
WHERE: Chloe's Sugar Shack

Sam arrived early enough that she was able to get a corner booth with a view of the front door. She was working on a small mocha and a cinnamon roll, and had three books open on the table: a Latin dictionary, a copy of Macbeth and Fox in Sox, by noted scholar Dr. Seuss.

It was a little noisy, here, but it was no worse that being at home. Their houseguest was watching martial arts movies with Janie, and unfortunately, they had discovered the joys of SurroundSound. Vito was in the study with the door closed and a "If you're not Anna, don't even THINK of knocking" sign on the door, otherwise, she would have taken up a spot on the loveseat in there.

The coffee was better here. That was a bonus, anyway. And the cinnamon roll. ... and the small bag of Irish Cream cordials she was picking at. This place had the potential to be very addictive.
