Isabella had been considering calling Meeghan for five agonizing days. On the one hand, she told Josie that she didn't want Meeghan involved - that she doubted the musician even knew about the supernatural, but on the other hand? She felt selfish for keeping something (someone) so important, to herself. Although there was a small part of her that wondered if she was a masochist for wanting to call. Or if she was just... incredibly foolish for doing so, and yet here she was, dialing the contact number Meeghan had given her.

She paced the length of the living room before flopping soundlessly onto the couch, curling herself up to face the backrest, as she so often did when she called Meeghan.

Jon: Nervous wasn't even the word Jon would use to describe how he felt as he dialed the number to Avarice, a rock club owned by one Benjamin Bale, the alpha of Los Angeles. The only thing that kept Jon from chickening out completely was the fact his father, Xavier Marrok, had called a head of time to fill in Mr. Bale with the full details of his sons' visit to the area. Jon was unaware of what the two men spoke about, Xavier being the sort to not divulge too much information on anything. So when Jon held the phone to his ear, listening to the ringing, his stomach churned with tight knots. He really hoped he didn't screw this, his first adult task, up.
